Anyone out there loading .277 Wolverine? I started loading this week for 90 gn Speer TNT and 100 gn Speer HP using AA1680. Showing good accuracy so far. Looking for more load data out there.
Harris at AR15performance.com and a few guys on the 68forums.com have been loading for the wolverine for a while now. Lots of info there

Very interesting. I had not heard of this round before now. Looks like a realistic option to the 6.8 SPC. Watched one of the vids on forming brass and that too looks pretty easy.

It is really easy. It's basically the same as making 300blk brass. I shoot 6.8 spc already and never really liked 5.56 so it was an easy choice to pick this cartridge. I have a large surplus if 5.56 brass and .277 bullets. Here's some images of my shots today with my .277 wolverine 1/7 twist. I pulled a few but all in all it grouped pretty well. It was about 85degrees out.

Better luck today with h335 22 grains and 90 speer TNT loaded to 2.130. Very Smooth recoil. Very accurate at 100 yards. No pressure signs at all. 6" drop between 100-200 yards. Im going to up the load. Im not seeing any flat primers or swipes at all. 2549 fps average.

I looked at it but I'm to stuck on the 6.8 spc , would be a good jump up for a guy with a .223

I agree 6.8 has a bit more power behind it. I was messing around with the math and for the amount of powder I save with the Wolverine it makes it woth it for me cost wise. Its about 11 grains less powder with the h335 in the wolverine vs the 6.8 spc2. Loss of a few hundred fps though. I shoot a lot so cost is a big deal for me. I was getting about 2800 fps with the 90 grain TnT's through my 14.5 6.8 Noveske barrel. I could probably go hotter but I don't really see the point. Primers are pretty flat.

Im going to test my new shipment of 100 gn Speer HP that just came in with the wolverine. Its a mean looking bullet. Its another one I shoot threw the 6.8.

I've got a 16" and an 11.5" for the 6.8 spc getting 2700 fps with a 90 gr speer out of the 11.5" barrel. that 100gr speer is a great varmint bullet blown holes in coyotes you could see day light through.
Would love to find a 277 wolverine barrel for my ruger ranch rifle.

What's your load data for the 90 gr Speer for your 11.5? That's pretty good velocity for a short barrel.
