Oh for sure, you gotta have one of them, but I don't know about puttin' rimfire on my belt, kinda creeps me out. Maybe I'm just paranoid.

Older Ruger Bearcat. The trigger is fab. Very lightweight. And they appreciate in value.

Never heard of such a thing, now that I have I'm on it. Thanks for posting it.I have a single six, but I would trade it for an Uberti Cattleman .22lr. 12 rounds of fury!
Colt is usually never a wrong choice.View attachment 467013
My first Colt! So expensive I had to put it on lay-away. I used to run 500 count bricks of Federal 22lr thru it without a problem. Still have it and every once in a while I still shoot it. I agree with others....If you can budget a Colt, go for it.
I don't buy many Rugers so if I were to ever buy another Bearcat it would have to a 1st issue.
Yep, 1st issue Bearcats were made in 1958-1971 and had an aluminum frame. After that, they were steel and called "Super Bearcat" today's model is called "New Bearcat"If you mean an early one, yeah!

This is what pockets are for.. a bulk pack of 500 right next to yer nuts is mo bedda. What if they're more then six rattlesnakes on the trail, some extra ammo might come in handy.
I am not a Ruger guy.......some of my buddies were.....but my memory is the early Bearcats had brass frames? They were the least expensive of the Ruger revolvers and undersized.Yep, 1st issue Bearcats were made in 1958-1971 and had an aluminum frame.
