I have a S&W 317 Airlight. A few weeks ago, I loaded it and hid it well in my bedroom. Today, I decided to retrieve it, and I was surprised to find that I could not eject the rounds. I eventually used my cleaning rod to gently push each round out of the cylinder from the front; even then, each one took a firm push to get out. Upon inspection, it looks like there is a slight corrosion around the copper-coated bullet (not the brass).

I've cleaned the cylinder and stored the revolver empty this time. But anyone have a clue where this corrosion might have come from? I did clean the gun just prior to loading and storing it, if that matters.

Basic oxidation of the copper causes this along with the oil in the cylinder, lube on the bullets also contributes. Not a great idea to store a 22 revolver that way.
