223 & 556

Been reloading my 5.56 cases to 223 specs with recipes from 5 or 6 different sources. Very little 5.56 specific info. Maybe found 1 page with 5.56 info.
Just bought a rifle, savage axis ll in 2.23.
Is it ok and safe to shoot my 5.56 cases loaded to 223 specs in this gun?

Internet will tell you your gun will explode.

chances are you'll be fine.

223 cases get used for 300blk brass.
5.56 cases get loaded to mid range 223 data.
Never had a need to push the limits.

Has more to do with the chamber it's being fired from. The .223 has a shorter leade.
