Join the #1 community for gun owners of the Northwest
We believe the 2nd Amendment is best defended through grass-roots organization, education, and advocacy centered around individual gun owners. It is our mission to encourage, organize, and support these efforts throughout Oregon, Washington, Idaho, Montana, and Wyoming.
Being a do it myself type , I made my own from a grade 8 ,1/4" bolt . I turned it down the size of a .22 caseing and put a bit of taper on front end . Polished it up with emery paper then heated it up nonmagnetic and quenched in oil.
I started real gentle in chamber pushing burr from striker hits and worked the metal back until iron would go in chamber . Went out and testfired and empties didnt hang up any longer nor have any bulges .
If you dont have a lathe you can use a drill press or hand drill , files and sandpaper to make an 'iron' .
