I think it's more they are designing the country of "Their" dreams. That new country throws many things that the founding fathers envisioned for a country to survive for a thousand years, out the window. "They" hate people, people that don't agree with "Them" 100%. They hate me, even though I have in the past, and still do, agree with many of the ways of the progressive left. They come here and troll the members that disagree with their beliefs because it's not possible for their type to just sit back and allow others to have differences. In their warped minds those that disagree with anything they want to push on free people must be punished. Considering how so many of them use other countries as examples of how America should be, I don't understand why they don't just go somewhere else? If it's that bad for them?

Haven't read it, don't know. Why answer then? To say, not so much to you as to everyone: it doesn't matter.

This is another law that will not be enforced unless you are a target, be it of an angry neighbor, a politician you piss off, an ex, that pyscho co-worker, anyone.

"I was at his home, and he had a gun just lying around! Isn't that against the law?" Called into your local PD, expect a visit. And no, the police will not tell you who called it in. They don't have to.

This will be another law that chips away at the legitimacy of all laws. People respect the law when they see it as just. When useless or selective or unjust laws proliferate, the entire edifice comes into question.

Gun owners are losing the culture war. A culture of responsibility is the only thing that keeps anyone safe around dangerous things. We have been smeared as irresponsible. The law is being wielded based on that smear.

And that's a shame. Because the rule of law is one of the highest achievments of mankind. Ever. To see it so corrupted, used for such base reasons and ends, is a crying shame.

Love it your get the flock out. I remember the 60z, the progressives', liberal media, ie. Dan Rather, were hard at work blame service men & women for crimes/baby killers in a "WAR" zone. I knew & worked with many returning service members mostly from Army units made to feel responsible & difficult for them to feel proud of their service all though all that I knew were just that, proud for serving their country answering the Draft call.
I knew & worked with one Marine, who was a hero saving his mens lives at Khasan(?).

I'm so pissed right now, I could, well, so I don't get moderated just say, re-educate someone, with the toe of my boot planted in there external festered spintcher.

House Bill 2543, which will allow the Oregon State Police to deny a firearm's transfer forever, with no explanation or justification, is now a step closer to becoming law.

The bill is scheduled for a "work session" on March 23 at 1PM in the House Judiciary Committee.

... HB 3005, repeals Oregon's law that allows only the State Legislature to write most gun laws. That bill is now scheduled for a hearing on April 6th and a work session on April 13th. Both will be in the House Judiciary Committee.
