Up for sale is an early 2000's luxury time capsule. A 2000 GMC Jimmy Diamond Edition. This was a special edition to commemorate the 30th anniversary of the Jimmy and included a lot of equipment off of the Envoy:
Heated power leather seats
Diamond stitching on seats and door panels
HID headlights- factory
Side steps
Brush guard
Rear spoiler
Bose stereo w/ separate rear radio
6 disc CD changer
Fog lights
Special rims
Silver side trim
Wood grain
GMC branded first aid kit
GM branded gloves
Special "diamond edition" badging
This was bought in 2011 from the 2nd owner by my grandfather with 194,000 miles. Since then it was only driven around Milwaukie as a 2nd vehicle for him. It was always well maintained with a fairly complete file of service records since his ownership. It is only being sold due to his passing at the end of 2020. When the estate settled I received this and his truck. I wouldn't part with it, except I already have too many vehicles and his truck is more sentimental to me. I recently went through and replaced anything I came across that needed it including:
Front brakes and rotors
Rear brakes and calipers
Headlights converted from GM specific bulbs to basic D2S bulbs
Drivers door hinge pins
It also has fairly new Bilstein HD shocks.
Known issues:
Minor bumps and scrapes (all pictured, scratches on hood don't photograph well)
Rear glass release button doesn't work (common). Inside release and fob work well.
A dash light is out on the heat controls.
Air compressor doesn't turn on (not sure if it was disabled when the factory air shocks where removed)
AC doesn't currently engage, I believe it just needs recharged, and hope to get to that.
All in all it's a solid comfortable SUV, I drove it around for a couple of weeks just to make sure it was 100%. It did great! It would make a great winter driver, plus it's also a great chance to own a unique vehicle without the normally associated cost/hassle of maintenance, as it's mechanically identical to other Jimmy / Blazer / s10's. I'm asking $5,000 but may be flexible for the right buyer, as I would love to find it a nice caring home.
Sale includes lifetime silver suporter membership.
Will of course consider trades/part trades for guns/ammo, ideas below
