I recently started using 3 inch hevi-shot turkey loads. With each shot the fore-end recoils and partially exposes the spent shell. The Mossberg people said that I must push forward on the fore-end to prevent this problem. I don't agree that the gun should behave this way. Does the gun need repair? If so, are there gunsmiths in the central New York (Syracuse) area who can repair my gun? ren2man

This is a Northwest based firearms group mostly made up of people from Oregon and Washington with a few members from around the area. The chances of finding an answer to your location specific question here will be extremely slim. I would suggest you look for a forum with either more national membership or better yet something orriented in the New York New England part of the USA.
