    Ben,

Tell me about Waitsburg. I have relatives in Tri-Cities I could stay with if I chose to shoot or instruct there. Might be fun to take a road trip for an Appleseed!

Beautiful range. Backstop is a good size green space with a creek. Saw a gaggle of turkey's there last time. Right off Hwy 12. About 4hrs from Portland or an hour from Kennewick.

Would Waitsburg be a good clinic to learn to shoot my new AR-15, or should I just bring a Marlin 22LR? Is there are Groupon link for Waitsburg? I am still trying to get one or both of my teen boys to some with me.

Waitsburg allows center fire. .22 vs. center fire really depends on what your goals are. To really master the fundamentals the .22 is affordable and takes recoil and percussion out of the equation.

Center fire really puts you to the test. You add recoil and percussion which may introduce bucking and flinching.

There is no wrong answer. Stan Pate - world champion F-class shooter stays sharp in the off season with a .22.

We do go through 400 rounds so .22 is also more cost effective; even at .10 a round.

The Groupon thing works with any event. You purchase the voucher from Groupon, then sign up for the event of your choice using the Groupon ticket type: http://www.eventbrite.com/e/waitsburg-wa-appleseed-april-30-may-1-2016-tickets-21136526921
