Calling All Oregon Patriots,

We are having our first official Oregon Tea Party Meeting.
This is a must attend, and bring all those who are supporters or interested.

It will be held Saturday October 30th, at 10:30 AM
At the Beavercreek Armory, located on Hwy 26 at Helvetia Rd. In Hillsboro.

Special guest speaker, U.S. Senate candidate and Conservative Constitutional Law Professor JIM HUFFMAN, Well know Oregon Patriot & activist Kristina Ribali, Geoff Ludt Director & Founder of the Oregon Tea Party, former congressional candidate John Kuzmanich, and more.

We are at a crossroads in our nation’s history. Our economy, the belief in American exceptionalism, & our very future are in jeopardy by a political class who no longer represent the will of the people. They burden our children and our future with unsustainable debt & spending while ignoring our pleads to stop.

As generations before us, when we find our prosperity & freedom threatened, we stand up to face the challenges of our day.

As is happening to great success across the nation, the TEA PARTY MOVEMENT here in Oregon is arming up, and has formed a PAC(Political Action Committee) to fight for all We the People stand for....Limited Constitutional Government, free-market principles & opportunity, fiscal & personal responsibility, liberty, and freedom.

To accomplish these mutual goals, on behalf of the entire movement and all our freedom groups, we will now pool our resources to support conservative candidates, issues, and beliefs, and in opposition to the those who oppose us and a positive future for America and our children.
So many of you have been out there on the front lines over the last 2 years and longer, this is now the culmination of our all efforts.
If you feel as we do, join in our efforts, support our cause, your cause.

We are not a 3rd Party, we are the largest people's movement in modern American history and we are changing the political landscape!!

Please join as we look forward to November and beyond.

And spread the word to everyone you know and tell them to do the same. All American Patriots are welcome.

I know some people here do not care fro Beavercreek Armory, but they are kind enough to host this event free, so please look past your issues and come for the meeting, not the location..Their new location has tons of room, a place for the kids to hang out while you enjoy the meeting.

***scratches head wondering what all the previous Tea Party meetings/gatherings/demonstrations in Portland and Salem have been so far....unofficial?***

We have been basically communicating via un-organized email, internet web page or facebook. We now have officially become a legal PAC. One purpose of the meeting is to thank all the people who have stood in the streets and been active in telling the left, the media, and the world that we will not stand for the destruction of the American way of life. We are looking towards the future with new people helping with ideas and/or actions as needed to preserve our freedoms. For those who are not aware of the Tea party values, this is a chance to see what it is all about without the media slant.

there will be a room with games for the kids, bring the family..

I scratch my head and wonder where the Tea Party was when Bush Admin was ruining our country. Kind of funny how it just came about during the Oboma presidency

"Under Bush, the national debt grew by more than $4 trillion: the biggest debt increase of any president in U.S. history.

When Bush took office in 2001, the national debt stood at $5.7 trillion. At the end of Bush's two terms, the debt had skyrocketed to more than $9.849 trillion. And remember: Bush enjoyed a Republican Senate and House of Representatives during most of his time in office.

Things weren't helped along any by Bush's illegal and totally unnecessary Iraq War. That disaster will probably wind up costing the U.S. $3 trillion. It would be nice if some of these Tea Party protesters asked for an immediate halt to the $10 billion a month that America continues to squander in Iraq every month to this day. But I suspect there won't be too many "Stop the Iraq War" signs at these Tea Party events.

Like I said, where were these "tea party" protesters during the Bush years? Where were they when Bush was handing out billions of our tax dollars to his wealthy friends? Where were they when Dick Cheney's former company, Halliburton, was pocketing billions of dollars in closed, no-bid contracts? Where were they when $12 billion in cash disappeared without a trace after it was shipped to Iraq?"

they were stewing and getting really pissed off. they were voting for candidates like ron paul and wondering wtf to do and why so many conservatives were backing bush. they were watching their country go in a way different direction and when bo got in and stomped on the peddle towards complete socialism via the health care bill they begin to get organized. as such, the first official meeting is only now happening. you on board or you going to complain that it's all bush's fault?

lol, I like your attitude. I disagree completely but I like it! I'm gonna do neither of the 2 options...Instead I'll just sit myself down on my imported couch, in my imported clothes and eat some imported food while watching the action on my imported tv and pretend to be patriotic. 'da doomp clash'

Two points;
1. 80% or more of the economic disasters incurred during the Bush presidency happened during the last four years, when demonrats were in control of the house and senate. Barney Frank and Chris Dodd did more than anyone during that time to bring about the crisis that Obama keeps blaming on Bush.
Bush deserves quite a bit of the anger people have towards him, he pushed the war when he didn't have to, that war cost some huge money!

2. Though Bush screwed up it's clear to many of us that Obama actually hates America and is deliberately trying to destroy our beloved country, and while blaming Bush he has managed to incur four times as much debt, not to fight wars specifically, but wasted and mismanaged. Again, I believe he is doing it to destroy America, and many Americans believe likewise.

The tipping point for me, and most Tea Partyers was the bank bailout. And yes it was under Bush that it was done. When McCain "suspended" his campaign I was hoping he'd stop it.
I believe that would have gotten him elected. But we all know how that turned out.
But I kinda saw it coming when Bush FINALLY cleaned house at Fannie & Freddie the year before, and the numbers came into the light of day.
And all the while Barney Frank (and Chris Dodd) was blubbering about how F&F were practicing "sound fiscal policy."
Ya-Sure Barney!

There were many in the tea party who were scratching their heads about the original bailouts, all under Bush with a Liberal brown nosing group of congress twits agreeing with every bit of it. Wow, short term memories.
And I love how the Liberals blame the republicans for the tea party movement. Then, when attacked, the republicans blame the libertarians for the tea party uprising . Might be something to all of this after all. Remember Ron Pauls CPAC win, who got blamed for that? Yeah, the Tea Party, Libertarians, and the younger Ron Paul Revolution crowd.
Just calling it how I see it.

from the article posted above
The tea party did something the Republican establishment was incapable of doing: It got the party out from under George W. Bush. The tea party rejected his administration's spending, overreach and immigration proposals, among other items, and has become only too willing to say so. In doing this, the tea party allowed the Republican establishment itself to get out from under Mr. Bush: "We had to, boss, it was a political necessity!" They released the GOP establishment from its shame cringe.

Personally I think they tea party isn't necessarily against the Obama admin, but the country as a whole....

maybe i didn't correctly word it... obama being in office isn't the reason the tea parts are getting all up in arms... backed up by the Wall Street Journal Tea party has been around... the country is getting tired of the whole government... both houses and presidents spending and policys, I think it might just be coming to a head under Obama...

+1. GW pissed me off quite a bit. BHO continued all of those issues and took them on fast forward.

Ah, OK... I ALMOST jumped to a wrong conclusion. Sometimes it pays to take a deep breath and request clarification... now we are in agreement based on your elucidation! :s0155:
