Has the 366 big block and a 4 speed manual transmission with a 2 speed diff (super low geared). Was an ex Wildland firefighter truck for a logging company. Has nice newer tires with one non matching military surplus tire in the rear that is brand new. Needs new taillights wired in. Clean title. Looking for trades. So truck got towed from in front of my house when I was away for a week. I guess it got called in as a abandoned vehicle. Impound wants 1139 just to get it out. :/

Good luck and don't let them get away with that garbage. Unless there are city ordinances or an HOA that you were in violation of, I would call it in as stolen and let the PD come down on them.

They won't tow away abandoned motor homes that get parked on city streets, but they'll tow this. Was probably a policeman who saw no plates and called it in. That sucks. Good luck.

Im think some cops get a cut of towing and storage. I picked up an impounded car once and a cop was in thier office using thier adding machine.

Still in the impound. Probably not getting it back unfortunately as I didn't have the cash for it at the time and no doubt that price has gone up. They only had it for a day or two and wanted 1140 in impound fees. Probably want like 3 or 4 grand for it by now

"Abandoned vehicle" apparently with it not having plates they don't have to tag it and can tow it on the spot without putting a notice on it.

Quite honestly not sure. Was at one then they transferred it to another. Called the number I talked to before that told me how much they wanted for it and they said they didn't know the truck anymore
