Is this a 010 block ...
As in already bored out to .010 over? No. I believe this to be a virgin block. (I knew the prior owner)
Did it come out of a car or truck? If car what model?
Ahh....good point. It came out of a 1970 3\4 ton Chevrolet P\U.
Front engine Tab V1018TBB
Rear block tab 3970010
Not sure if it is a 2 or 4 bolt, as they had both. #3970010 350 69-79 Truck 2&4 bolt main
Less than 200 rounds thru it........err....nevermind. :bluelaugh:
He's referring to the casting number of the block. It should be on the flywheel flange , on the left side of the engine and will say something like "3970010". That will help tell what the engine is out of. Usually these are 4 bolt main blocks, but not always.
It is a 010 block.
020 is high nickel all so chances are good if it came out of a truck it is a 4 bolt main just my opinion no way to tell unless you pull the pan .
