Made in 1950 Savage 99 in 300 Savage. Metal is painted black over pitting. I have owned this gun for 4 years, cleaned it up and put about 300 rounds through it with no trouble.
Shoots about 1.25 inch groups at 100 yards. It was found in a shed about 15 years ago, hence the pitting. Action is smooth, it holds 5 rounds in an internal rotary magazine. Wood seems good with no rotting or cracks. Original open sights are still present under the scope mount. A good vintage shooter for sure.
I would like to trade it for any caliber hand gun, wheel gun or semi auto. Function is more important than exterior condition. Anything is considered. The old Savage has gotten to be to much for my 75 year old shoulder.. I may take cash + trade or add cash to a trade if needs be.
