Yep, the naysayers are correct - this isn't what was claimed.

That's a reblued pistol. Typical of 1950's "blue job" with corners of the frame buffed round. It's got an early (like pre 1917) hammer, slide stop, and safety. This is just a little cursory observation but you should not buy the pistol with the idea that it is in any way original 1944 production. It's a redone WW1 issue.

Stll, it's a pretty nice looking pistol with some reminders of a historical provenance. It's just not a collectible piece.
High price would be $750.
