I have a 1943 Izhevsk Mosin Nagant up for sale.
From my research, this particular rifle was initially built as a PU Sniper Rifle, and arsenal converted back at the end of the war. In the photos below you can see where they welded the tapped holes in the receiver for the scope assembly, and spliced in a new piece of wood on the stock. The bolt has also been replaced at the factory, and you can see that it is serial matched to the gun.
I have found this rifle to shoot well, and it has strong rifling. My asking price for this rifle is $290 + transfer fees.
