Selling a 1924 Savage lever-action Model 1899 rifle, chambered in the rare .303 savage cartridge. Rifle and cartridge were developed to compete with the Win 94, and the round is very similar, though because of the rotary magazine, the Savage can use pointed rounds. Metal is all in very good condition, a sling is attached, and a vintage 4x scope is mounted. Original stock appears to have been replaced and/or modified. Includes remaining 12 rounds in box of Winchester Silvertip 190gr cartridges, and the 8 rounds of once-shot brass. Asking $600

Picture that jbett98 posted accurately shows the scope mount. I've included 3 more pictures to show the mount, and a closeup of the adjusters. The mount is not offset, and has an unusual forward attachment. The scope has no markings on it, though it appears to be about a 4x, with a thin straight reticle.
