For sale, what I've been told is a 1916 Spanish Mauser. Small-ring (2-lug bolt), 7x57mm. Stock has wear but no bare wood, some pitting on the barrel under the handguard (max depth of 3/32"). Bolt turns freely, everything appears to work. S/N R1XX, numbers on receiver and barrel match. No S/N on the bolt or any other parts, no other markings. Don't know much about it, I picked it up on an impulse buy a few weeks ago and decided I don't really want it.
$200 obo for the rifle, I'll throw in some nice RCBS 7x57mm dies along with it for $30. Willing to trade for .223/5/56, 9mm, .38 or .45 ammo.
Can meet anywhere between Portland and Albany.
What are the ballistics for that rifle?Would it be OK for Elk?
