After 100 years i would think the 1911 manufacturers would have found a way to vent
the carbon out of the 1911.
I love my 1911's but 2 shots and it looks like a diesel trucks tail pipe.
i have used about every ammo i could think of but they are all dirty.

My old glock was always clean after 200 rounds down the pipe.
It was a quick wipe down some oil and all done.

why does the 1911 have such an issue with this vs.say glock or xp45?
