I'm casually looking for a MILDLY sporterized Remington or Smith Corona 1903a3.
Stock is unimportant,receiver can be drilled and tapped as long as it will accept a Redfield 03a4 repro base.No side mounted peep sight holes,please!
I need it to have all military markings intact.
Barrel needs to be original length.
The cheaper the better.

Saw his,and it inspired me to post my want ad..Unfortunately,the one he has listed has had some lettering sanded off.

Nope, what I have left at the moment is either project planned already or too far sporterized. But the nice thing is that you can get one that's been drilled and tapped wrong and have it tig welded up. The original Redfield bases were only 2-screw. And with the base on, no one will see any discoloration from a good weld. It will be there, but covered by the base.

Good luck! When I get my bolt back, you are welcome to come play with the rifle at ARPC...

ADDED: Unless you are wanting to make a marine corps sniper with a unertl or Winchester external adjustment scope, you will need to find an 03a3. The base wind fit an 03. This means you need a Remington or SC. Lots of sporters to be had!
