These are a very easy to carry and shoot Colt revolver...
15-20 grains of 2 or 3F and a .375 round ball is a great load to shoot with.

A very late cap and ball design....and not too often seen in its original form by Colt...
That said Uberti , makes a fine replica of it.

As for the cartridges, Buffalo Arms sells the .44 version at $14.99 for a box of 6. I'm sticking with a flask and loose ball.

That price for ammo does indeed sound ridiculously high. When I used to shoot a BP revolver, I just rolled my own with a ball, cigarette paper (Zig Zag), and powder. (That was so long ago I remember getting carded for the rolling paper. :eek:)
