I think you are all missing the point. This rifle is a piece of history. This is obviously one of the early prototype's used in Belorussia in '43. Then used again later to shoot Kennedy. Then again to kill bigfoot. At $1400 it's a crime not to buy it. I bet the only reason it hasn't sold is that there's a bidding war between the Tower of London and the Smithsonian.
 
Had a guy offer me his SKS for my LNIB Saiga 12.... Needless to say i turned him down & wound up with $690 in trade, from a gun shop. A $100-$175 SkS is not worth $400-$1400 after you ad a $60-$100 plastic stock.... LMAO Has anyone here paid over $200 for an sks?
