The flare gun came in today. I forgot it at my office, but can take pics later if anyone cares. I obtained it for serious purpose (being able to signal if I'm injured in the hinterland), but what kind wackiness can be engaged in with these (e.g., pyrotechnics, smoke, etc.)?
 
Depends on the use, but 12ga flares are very wimpy...not very bright, nor do they go up very high. 26.5mm flares and smoke are much more impressive, and readily available from dansammo.com The flare guns are found at gunshows or on gunbroker
