Rock Island Armory posted their last weekend sale yielded $11.1 Million in sales. So ya I would say gun sales are hot right now.
SO RIA charges a 20% seller's fee on the front end. Then RIA charges a 15% buyers fee on the back end.
$2,220,000.00 seller fees collected.
$1,665,000.00 buyers fees collected
Nice little $3,885,000.00 in commissions earned by RIA for this auction. Not bad for a services only business, no cost of products sold. I am sure they have some solid costs for doing an auction and providing staff to service the sellers/buyers BUT prob in the $500k realm, the rest is profit. Safe to say the RIA owners are raking in the cash right now.
