I guess I was trying to figure a way to shoot 10MM and maybe the range pick-up 40S&W. HK makes the USC in 45ACP but the cost and plastic are negatives. At least a carbine 10MM could put out 135JHPs at some decent speed. Just wishing someone would make steel carbines like in the 'ol days.

You cannot safely shoot .40 S&W in a 10mm (unless in a revolver with moon clips)

Shot this once and fell in love!

I believe that when the FBI tryed out the 10mm many years ago Thompson (or whoever they are now) made some "Tommy Guns" to shoot the 10mm.

Yep, ATF had a batch of them made up in the 1990s. Custom builders are making them now. Guys at the HK forum I belong to are showing off their new 10MM MP5 type builds, regularly

Only problem with Oly Arms 10MMs has been that the UZI mags dried up in the mid 1990s. OAs is however soon to unveil new polymer mags so you can have your 10MM CAR 15

10mm just doesn't have the following for any company to commit the money to developing a 10mm carbine.

Now you may be able to get it to work in a AR platform, custom barrel, etc.

For me, having a 9mm AR15 means I can practice more, same manipulation/manual of arms, similar recoil impulse to the .223 as the .22lr does not lift the muzzle and it's just damned fun!

Also, I can take my Glock and 9mm AR and use the same ammo for both. I'm betting I'm more accurate at 100 yards with my AR than you are with you handgun... :D

The last reason for a pistol caliber carbine is... Why not!?!? :s0155:
