>This election is so important folks. Lets all get informed and vote whats in your heart and your mind. It's time we opened our eyes. They have screwed up our health insurance so bad that there is no fixing that but lets try to stop all the taxing. How will any of us ever retire? I hope that everyone can see the light and vote responsibly.

>ON JANUARY 1 ST 2013, THE GOVERNMENT IS REQUIRING EVERYONE TO HAVE DIRECT DEPOSIT FOR SS CHECKS. WONDER WHY?
>>1% tax on all bank transactions HR4646
>>Watch for this AFTER November elections; remember this BEFORE you VOTE in case you think Obama's looking out for your best interest.
>>1% tax on all bank transactions HR 4646
>>This government just
cannot think of enough ways to hurt the American people! I sure hope
this dies!!!!!
>>FORWARD THIS TO EVERYONE YOU KNOW!
>>1% tax on
all bank transactions HR 4646 - ANOTHER NEW OBAMA TAX SLIPPED IN WHILE
WE WERE ASLEEP. Checked this on snopes, it's true!Check out HR 4646.
>>President Obama's finance team is recommending a one percent (1%) transaction fee (TAX). Obama's plan is to sneak it in after the November elections to keep it under the radar.
>>This is a 1% tax on all transactions at any financialinstitution - banks, credit unions, savings and loans, etc. Any deposit you make, or even a transfer within your account, will have a 1% tax charged. ~If your paycheck or your social security or whatever is direct deposit, it will get a 1% tax charged for the transaction. ~If your paycheck is $1000, then you will pay Obama $10 just for the privilege of depositing your paycheck in your bank. Even if you hand carry your paycheck or any check into your bank for a deposit, 1% tax will be charged. ~You receive a $5,000 stock dividend from your broker, Obama takes $50 just to allow you to deposit that check in the bank.. ~If you take $1,000 cash to deposit at your bank, 1% tax will be charged.
>>Mind you, this is from the man who
promised that, if you make under $250,000 per year, you will not see
one penny of new tax. Keep your eyes and ears open, you will be amazed
at what you learn about this guy's under-the-table moves to increase
the number of ways you are taxed.
>>Oh, and by the way, if you
receive a refund from the IRS next year and you have it direct
deposited or you walk in to deposit that check, you guessed it. You
will pay a 1% charge of that money just for putting it in your bank.
Remember, any money, cash, check or whatever, no matter where it came
from, you will pay a 1% fee if you put it in the bank.
>>Some will
say, oh well, it's just 1%. Are you kidding me? It's a 1% tax increase
across the board. Remember, once the tax is there, they can also raise
it at will. And if anyone protests, they will just say, "Oh,that's not
really a tax, it's a user fee"! Think this is no big deal? Go back and look at the transactions you made on one year's banking statements. Then add the total of all those transactions and deduct 1%. Still think it's no big deal?

The bill is HR-4646 introduced by US Rep Peter deFazio D-Oregon and US Senator Tom Harkin D-Iowa. Their plan is to sneak it in after the...

And I just want to add that DeFazio may be the best of all the rotten demorats in Oregon politics. He voted YES on prohibiting product misuse lawsuits on gun manufacturers. All the rest seem to actually hate the America I grew up in and want to replace it with European socialism and political tyranny. The only dem I voted for in recent years is our local Sherriff, because he sent out a letter asking if gun permit holders wished their info to remain private, I suspect so it would form a legal roadblock to antigun newspaper people. People who vote Dem do not deserve the second amendment IMHO. I wonder how many people in this forum voted for Obama.

Sigh,

In my neighborhood, we're republicans and democrats and independents, and we all manage to drink coffee together, swap ammo, and respect each other's differences. I wish we would all dial-down the hate-speak.

Politics in america is a one horse chariot race.
No matter which leg of the two legged horse you bet on, you're going to be carried through to the finish by the same horse.
And while they've got you fixated on which of the legs you would lop off to make your life a little better, you fail to even notice
who's got hold of the reigns.

This will continue until good people cast out the driver and take hold of the reigns.
The two legged horse will heed our command or be put to pasture.

Hate-speak? In my neighborhood, we all drink coffee and respect each other as well. However, there is a particular group of Dem's that have made it their goal to reduce us to Euro-Socialist standards and they try to do it with back door treaties while smiling in our faces. Saying that all Dem's hate guns is like saying all Rep's hate gays. The fact of the matter is that the Dem's punch holes in the Second Amendment at any opportunity and since it cost them the 2000 election, they do it behind our backs. I have lived in Portland all my life. I'm no stranger to being an R and sharing lunch with a D. The D's that I have lunch with aren't the ones that want to strip me of my ability to protect myself so that I may report to my work camp on time without causing trouble. I know, I'm just another Redneck conspiracy theorist. OUR government would NEVER do that. I agree with Partsproduction. By his name, he seems old enough to remember when Partsproduction wasn't a forum handle, but a thing that we actually did in this country. I want his America back. Kip

Yup, and maybe pedophiles, rapist, thieves, crack heads, and bangers, do you have coffee and swap ammo with them ? If you are voting these anti-gun politicians in, you are personally responsible of eroding the second amendment. If you ain't part of the solution you are part of the problem...

Please refer to the rules:

9. All political discussion must be directly related to firearms, gun rights, or the second amendment.

There are many different people here with many different viewpoints on various issues. Like religion, discussing these issues here is highly likely to offend and very little good can come of it. We need to be focusing on the things that bring us together (firearms), not the things that have the potential to divide us (politics).
