Vancouver (/væŋˈkuːvər/ or /vænˈkuːvər/) officially the City of Vancouver, is the most populous city in the Canadian province of British Columbia.
The 2011 census recorded 603,502 people in the city, making it the eighth largest Canadian municipality. The Greater Vancouver area of around 2.4 million inhabitants is the third most populous metropolitan area in the country, the second largest city on the United States–Canada border, and the most populous in Western Canada. Vancouver is one of the most ethnically and linguistically diverse cities in Canada; 52% of its residents have a first language other than English. Vancouver is classed as a Beta global city. The City of Vancouver encompasses a land area of about 114 square km, giving it a population density of about 5,249 people per square km (13,590 per square mi). With over 250,000 residents, Vancouver is the most densely populated Canadian municipality, and the fourth most densely populated city in North America behind New York City, San Francisco, and Mexico City.
The original settlement, named Gastown, grew up on clearcuts on the west edge of the Hastings Mill logging sawmill's property, where a makeshift tavern had been set up on a plank between two stumps and the proprietor, Gassy Jack, persuaded the curious millworkers to build him a tavern, on 1 July 1867. From that first enterprise, other stores and some hotels quickly appeared along the waterfront to the west. Gastown became formally laid out as a registered townsite dubbed Granville, B.I. ("B.I" standing for "Burrard Inlet"). As part of the land and political deal whereby the area of the townsite was made the railhead of the CPR, it was renamed "Vancouver" and incorporated shortly thereafter as a city, in 1886. By 1887, the transcontinental railway was extended to the city to take advantage of its large natural seaport, which soon became a vital link in a trade route between the Orient, Eastern Canada, and Europe. As of 2014, Port Metro Vancouver is the third largest port by tonnage in the Americas (displacing New York), 27th in the world, the busiest and largest in Canada, and the most diversified port in North America. While forestry remains its largest industry, Vancouver is well known as an urban centre surrounded by nature, making tourism its second-largest industry. Major film production studios in Vancouver and Burnaby have turned Greater Vancouver and nearby areas into one of the largest film production centres in North America, earning it the film industry nickname, Hollywood North.
Vancouver is consistently named as one of the top five worldwide cities for livability and quality of life, and the Economist Intelligence Unit acknowledged it as the first city to rank among the top-ten of the world's most liveable cities for five consecutive years. Vancouver has hosted many international conferences and events, including the 1954 British Empire and Commonwealth Games, UN Habitat I, Expo 86, the World Police and Fire Games in 1989 and 2009; and the 2010 Winter Olympics and 2010 Winter Paralympics which were held in Vancouver and Whistler, a resort community 125 km (78 mi) north of the city. In 2014, following thirty years in California, the annual TED conference made Vancouver its indefinite home. Several matches of the 2015 FIFA Women's World Cup were played in Vancouver, including the final at BC Place Stadium.
Sure hope this is the right section for this question...

Any other suggestions for Vancouver transfers?

I selling or trading off some pistols. I am located in Vancouver so we can transfer here or I can go to a dealer in Portland.
I have the following for trade, each with 2 mags unless you want more. Have a ton of Glock mags both OEM and imports. I also have a ton of holsters if you are...
Hey all.
New to the forum but not to shooting.
Grew up shooting with my dad.
Moved to Vancouver WA right as I-1639 passed.
Annoyed by the above and ready to vote for our rights and participate in the hobby!
Howdy everyone,
I’m new to the group and new to the Vancouver, WA area. I signed up because I was looking to find local places to get out and shoot. Love the outdoors and exercising my 2A rights. Looking forward to making friends in the community.

Hey ya'll,
Im from Florida and moved up to the PNW 8 months ago. I love it up here especially all the public land open for target shooting. Currently I live in Vancouver but I was in Longview for a bit. Any cool things happening in my area anytime soon?
Looking for a good entry level handgun/firearm saftey class for a new shooter in Vancouver WA . Not a cancelled carry class at this time.
Please let me know thanks
Howdy all, just moved from Texas to Vancouver, WA. I was spoiled in TX, as I knew folks who owned hundreds of acres of barren ranch land where we could set up steel out to 1,000 yards. I've been reading about shooting on public lands in WA and have been blindly scouting for locations in...
Just got finished with a transfer @ Tropics Pawn and was told that their new policy on transfers is "by appointment only". Fees are going up on 1/1 to $29
$1400 - about 450-500 rounds - Original owner, no trades. (Aimpoint and CZ not include, of course)
I was going the SBR route but changed my mind
Will come with SB brace, original trigger, BAD level (safety), original grip, and one 30 round magazine (without Taran baseplate). No sights...
I am looking to try a mare's leg and a chiappa rhino in. 357. If you have either in the Portland/Vancouver area, please let me know. I can provide my own ammo if needed.
I wanted to introduce myself, I am new to Vancouver Wa, from Southern California. I am a long time Calgunner (same screen names) and wasn't sure what the big forum up here was, until someone recommended Northwest firearms.
I just shot my first tactical rifle course at Tri County gun club in...
I've been looking for rabbit around the Shillapoo area without luck.
Shillapoo Wildlife Area | Washington Department of Fish & Wildlife
It strikes me as odd given the habitat with its many large islands of blackberry bushes. I've asked around about other areas within an hour drive but haven't...
Well, we just received THE LAST () bill from Comcast. They have lost their ever-loving mind if they think we are paying those prices any more. We are also absolutely tired of playing "the game" with them every 2 years too. We're done. We're out!
Unfortunately their internet is the only...
After 1999, the gun shows in California sucked. The "Assault Weapons" ban, "safe" handgun roster and magazine restrictions had all gone into effect (Please vote "NO!" on I-1639). This essentially made the shows jerky, knife sharpener etc. flea markets. $10-$15 entry and another $10 to park for...
I know this is a long shot but I am searching for information about the owner of a vicious dog that attacked me last night in Vancouver, WA near Clark College.
Best I can tell it was some sort of pitbull mix, black with spotty brownish coloration all over. They also had a smaller white dog that...
