"A Hot Time in the Old Town", also titled as "There'll Be a Hot Time in the Old Town Tonight", is an American popular song, copyrighted and perhaps composed in 1896 by Theodore August Metz with lyrics by Joe Hayden. Metz was the band leader of the McIntyre and Heath Minstrels.
So, I thought I would toss this one out there for discussion: what are you favorite war films? It can be any time, place, or subject matter. It could be historically interesting, thought-provoking, off-beat, heart-rending, surreal, wacky, or some combination of those.

What are some of your favorite Cold War-era films? By that, I don't necessarily mean films released in the 1947—1991 time frame, but rather those that touched upon the diplomatic, military, intelligence, and cultural aspects of the Cold War era.
