Let me start by saying I am a longtime registered member of the Firearms Protection Coalition (FPC) and have removed all of my pistol braces and taken them away from my residence premises however something is seriously wrong with how my Form 1's are being handled by the ATF & can't help but...
I garuntee there is already a thread on this. I could not think about keywords to get me to a post if it exsists.. I recently put together a CMMG lower reciever that I would like to register as a SBR in the near future. When I file my form 1 and am waiting for my tax stamp to come in, can I...
I have recently added a brace to my B&T ACP45Pro. As far as I can tell, this configuration is in the grey area for requiring a Tax Stamp.
In your opinion should I just go ahead and apply for the Tax Stamp now or wait for the ATF definition change of SBR?
My thought is to go ahead now but...
I have rifle that I tax stamped into a SBR; I'd like to revert it back to a rifle. Now it doesn't currently have a SBR length upper/ barrel attached it's essentially stripped. Do I just write the ATF as in their laws * 5320.4 and ask them to remove it from the NFA registry and wait about a week...
This is a rant, I am beside myself. Been waiting 3 months now for my suppressor. Finally got all the paperwork in and the first thing that happened was Capitol One declined my $200 charge to the mother bubblegumin ATF!!:mad::mad::mad::mad::mad: Who declines a federal agency?????
I am beside...
I see this subject come up periodically and thought that I would write a short dissertation on the subject. First let me state that the following is my opinion only and should not be considered legal advice.
In 1934 The Federal firearms Act came into being. Most of America was still agrarian and...
New the forum. First post!
Question 1: Still trying to get up to speed on the legal ins/outs of NFA / Tax Stamps for SBR purchases. My question is... do you apply for an NFA / SBR "special permit" of some kind (one that is based on you as a person), and then (once you are approved) you submit...
Learned this from a friend. Went to a Kinkos and had my stamps reduced to about 3-1/2” x 5” and then laminated. Will hole punch and put in a 2” snap ring to keep them together in my range bag.
The title is misleading. A couple of weeks back, I bought a new soldering iron to supplement my
hot air/soldering station. I scrounged around for an eyeglass case but it was too short.
I decided to look for a large diameter cigar holder. Natch, there were hundreds of varieties on
ebay...

Just a heads up that there is a new mailing address in Oregon for NFA forms 1 and 4. The American Suppressor Association has information here. Updated forms are available for download here. Cheers.

Genuinely curious. From what I can see, outside of a little extra paperwork, all the tax stamp is is a standard background check. Or is it? I know you submit some pretty substantial fingerprints - are they running your prints through the FBI database? Or are those just for the records? I've...
Well the race is on sort of. The ATF already lost this one a long while ago, but according to NFA Tracker, Form 4 Individual wait times are averaging 5 months and I'm at about 4 1/2.
I also just finished filing my taxes, so I'm wondering what will happen first, my Tax Stamp approval or my Tax...

Silencer Shop is running <broken link removed> today in which they pay the NFA tax stamp ($200) on some of their silencer offerings. Saving two C-Notes isn't bad, so I just thought I'd pass it along in case someone is looking to buy a new can soon. Cheers.
Just announced from SilencerCo is a tax stamp rebate program lasting all of February and April. Buy any new SilencerCo suppressor from a SilencerCo Dealer (which we are one) and get a $200 credit to the SilencerCo Online store for anything you want. We currently have Hybrids, Omegas, Ospreys...
I thought it might be neat to have a picture thread dedicated to registered NFA smoothbores. There are shotgun, or shotgun-like, items that fall into the SBS, AOW, and DD classifications.
I'll get us started ...
