silencer
In genetics, a silencer is a DNA sequence capable of binding transcription regulation factors, called repressors. DNA contains genes and provides the template to produce messenger RNA (mRNA). That mRNA is then translated into proteins. When a repressor protein binds to the silencer region of DNA, RNA polymerase is prevented from transcribing the DNA sequence into RNA. With transcription blocked, the translation of RNA into proteins is impossible. Thus, silencers prevent genes from being expressed as proteins.RNA polymerase, a DNA-dependent enzyme, transcribes the DNA sequences, called nucleotides, in the 3' to 5' direction while the complementary RNA is synthesized in the 5' to 3' direction. RNA is similar to DNA, except that RNA contains uracil, instead of thymine, which forms a base pair with adenine. An important region for the activity of gene repression and expression found in RNA is the 3' untranslated region. This is a region on the 3' terminus of RNA that will not be translated to protein but includes many regulatory regions.
Not much is yet known about silencers but scientists continue to study in hopes to classify more types, locations in the genome, and diseases associated with silencers.
If you made a suppressor purchase from Silencer Shop or a dealer using their kiosk, they have all the data required for your form one electronic application except for the SBR data. I just completed one and it needed a new photo, as mine was over a year old and the SBR data was pretty...
Pulled these two off my radian uppers and switched to silencer co. Never been fired but they do have some damage from taking them off on the outside. Threads are perfect. $100 for both. Meet in Hillsboro.
I have a slightly older silencer that I bought for a specific build. That guild did not happen so now I am trying to it for general purpose.
It is a .22 can with a steel tube and aluminum mono core baffle that unscrews from the front.
I tried to use it with my dedicated .22 AR CMMG upper...
Willing to ship if needed.
Silencer Dedicated 11.5" 5.56 Upper
(will not cycle unsuppressed - recommended buffer / spring is H3 and Sprinco Blue): everything was assembled to mfg spec using the correct tools, aeroshell grease and rocksett - torque for flash hider and barrel nut was applied at...
My brother got his silencer after a year.
I am in Washington. I just found a group of guys to go shooting with. I am interested in getting a suppressor, now that i will hopefully be shooting more. I just googled a little and any advice suggestions would be nice.
I am looking at a multi...
This was more work than it looks like it should be. The silencer that is. I had an existing modular 30 cal silencer that is actually one of my better performing cans. Set up like a SIG or Q can with half cut baffles. Anyway I had to make a ASR thread spec adapter and cut two of the baffles to...
I have a couple of silencers I started Form 4s for recently, and I don't expect them to be approved before the end of the year. If Measure 114 passes do you think it could affect my ability to pick them up in 2023 after the ATF finishes their BS?
I've read the Measure text and didn't see any...
New to silencers, the ones I just purchased are on order so not even in jail yet, and looking into covers to prevent accidental burns. I understand they also help with mirage as the silencer heats up. I'm curious about what you are using, what's great about it and what sucks (cuz nothing is...
Surefire BCG that’s optimized for suppressor use. Integrated weights in the rear require the surefire buffer and spring kit which is pictured as well. I had it sent off to surefire to have the gas key upgraded to be compatible with the radian charging handle. This thing is awesome. Black nitride...
I am looking to build my dream gun. I have compiled a list below of things that I am going to add. One of my biggest concerns is I want to have a folding stock, however I have no idea how to do that. Any insight on parts that anyone has to recommend would be very much appreciated. Thanks!
Dynamic Weapons Solutions Mark III Glock 19 Gen 3 Slide. Comes with Silencer Co barrel and compensator. Can’t remember who the manufacturer is of the comp.
This is your reading comprehension part of the post:

This means no back plate, firing pin...
In the classic film Dr. No, when the fictional spy James Bond receives his iconic PPK, the Major supplying him with said references that it "Takes a Brausch silencer with very little reduction in muzzle velocity ..."
So, did one ever exist, or was it made up? IIRC, I read somewhere Ian Fleming...
Yesterday my son bought an AR pistol with a 10.5 in barrel and he is wondering if adding a 6-in can silencer would make it legal length to shoulder fire or not?
Thanks 🤘🤘
