selling
Sales are activities related to selling or the number of goods sold in a given targeted time period. The delivery of a service for a cost is also considered a sale.
The seller, or the provider of the goods or services, completes a sale in response to an acquisition, appropriation, requisition, or a direct interaction with the buyer at the point of sale. There is a passing of title (property or ownership) of the item, and the settlement of a price, in which agreement is reached on a price for which transfer of ownership of the item will occur. The seller, not the purchaser, typically executes the sale and it may be completed prior to the obligation of payment. In the case of indirect interaction, a person who sells goods or service on behalf of the owner is known as a salesman or saleswoman or salesperson, but this often refers to someone selling goods in a store/shop, in which case other terms are also common, including salesclerk, shop assistant, and retail clerk.
In common law countries, sales are governed generally by the common law and commercial codes. In the United States, the laws governing sales of goods are somewhat uniform to the extent that most jurisdictions have adopted Article 2 of the Uniform Commercial Code, albeit with some non-uniform variations.

Just an ordinary Joe and former Marine out here in Oregon (Portland specifically). Seems people here are pretty friendly and helpful and thought it might be time for me to contribute. I should be posting a classified with my SCAR 16S up soon. I personally know Mad Max (I believe he's...
(Didn't know if should post this in this sub forum or in legal. Be gentle )
So thinking of selling my XD40 to a gunshop to upgrade to something else (maybe a g29). My question is how does this process work if the XD40 I possess was bought when private sales were legal without an ffl and the...

After many many years of collecting, building, shooting and enjoying firearms life has changed. While I do still enjoy firearms I do not have the time that I once did. I have some other things that have become priorities in my life. This has lead me to seriously selling of a portion of my...
I am shopping for my first AR15. I would like to be budget minded but smart. I am on the look out for a completed quality completed lower so that I don't have to get the buffer tube on (I live in an apartment with no access to a bench vice). Something like 7075 forged.
Then, I would get a...
Often while reading a thread I'll see a post that states : "I'll never sell my guns" or words to that effect.
This phrase is sometimes followed by a post that almost makes it sound like a capital crime to sell a gun.
I have sold or traded many a gun of mine.
Some were ones that I restored ...
I'm sorry if this question is answered before but I couldn't find it. My friend (live in Washington) wants to buy my handgun but I live in Oregon. Can I just meet him at a gun shop in WA to do the transfer? or I need to have my local dealer to ship the gun to a WA dealer? Thank you

I have a general rule I try to follow of not commenting on the price/quality/etc. of an item for sale in the "for sale" thread of an item. If I think it is priced too high or there is some other problem with value or quality or whatever, I just move on and make no comments. So I am not...
I had a patient ask me today how best to sell a firearm collection in Oregon. His son has a terminal disease and has a large collection. The son's wife wants to sell them and none of the family members want to take them. He is going to get me a list so I can tell him if anything is a...
Based on my research, it seems the private sales background check does not apply if I want to sell to my (blood) sister since she is a direct family member? We even have the same last name still.

If selling directly to an 01 FFL, are you required to make the sale at their registered place of business?
I had someone who holds an 01 FFL contact me a while back about an item I had for sale. They were a little ways away, so they offered to meet me half-way to make the sale. Now, we ended up...
