question
A question is an utterance which typically functions as a request for information, which is expected to be provided in the form of an answer. Questions can thus be understood as a kind of illocutionary act in the field of pragmatics or as special kinds of propositions in frameworks of formal semantics such as alternative semantics or inquisitive semantics. Questions are often conflated with interrogatives, which are the grammatical forms typically used to achieve them. Rhetorical questions, for example, are interrogative in form but may not be considered true questions as they are not expected to be answered.
While back I had to run off some "questionable" people here. They in trying to get car going one dropped a knife on the ground. It was getting dark, I was out of patience with them. Kicked the knife away from the vehicle. I was at the point were I was going to run them off and call a tow and...
BLC-2 powder summer vs winter. Can anyone tell me what kind of velocity difference you're getting with your load during summer and winter. Someone told me the difference is minimal(like 50 fps slower during winter) is this true?
Thanks in advance.
If a base has built in MOA, say 50. I’d need a scope with 50 minutes of adjustment down not total, right. So if my scope has 70 moa total adjustments 35/35 up/down, a 50moa base is out of the question.
Too much going on and my brain is failing me. Just want to verify before ordering a base...
Hi all,
This is only my second post here on the site, normally I just lurk. However, now I have a question I'm hoping someone can assist in answering.
Recently, a relative came into possession of a Colt Model 1892 (Maybe 1896?) .38 revolver. It is a .38 long Colt. It's interesting, and the...
Throwing this out for opinions.
I recently ordered a Surplus Good Enfield No4 from Classic Firearms to get a Canadian Long Branch No4 into my collection. When I went to pick it up at the FFL and there were red flags all over. These were being sold as Surplus Good, which I know is meaningless...
For those of you who currently hunt the "coy" dog, what do you do with the critter after they are shot?
Years ago I paid for a number of semesters of college by hunting coyotes. At that time the was a market for the hides and the state was paying a bounty, so it was possible to turn a small...
I'm sorry I don't have a picture. Question is regarding value of a Star .380 Super SM in nickel finish. Condition is nice, one mag and no box. Guessing 60's or 70's manufacture.
Not seeking legal advice. Any insight on other's past experiences on this would be helpful.
I just got differing answers on two phone calls. I just moved from Marion County to Multnomah County. I called into Multnomah County the week of my move to inquire about how to transfer my CHL. The guy...
Good afternoon my friends,
Why do some of you spend $300+ on an OTF knife? Isn't it just a regular knife but in a box instead of on a hinge?
Best Regards,
LDmax
If I am still in the OSP queue and I fill out another form 4473 for a new firearm before they do the background check for the previous form 4473, what are the chances they do them both together?
Hey guys, I have a Del-Ton Sierra 316L AR15 and I'm having some trouble with different mags. Pmags will lock right in no issues regardless of full or empty but I can't seem to get my ETS mags to lock in at all. Just drop right back out without catching. Tried loosening and tightening the mag...
So i have bought and sold guns for 30 years. I got asked something today that I've never been asked. "I want to test fire that gun." I personally thought this was a very odd request. Individual could damage your firearm or God knows what else could happen. Honestly seemed like a huge red...
So, still recovering from the most very silly weekend, but took care of lots of work today, including picking up mail with Firearms News in said. I spotted this:
Main question because I can't get a straight answer out of the vendor. Will the Mac magazines listed in the upper right work...
I recently picked up a PSA Premium AR-15 and it as an "F" marked front sight post. I've learned that means it is higher. What I can't find online anywhere is: will ANY carry handle work on it with its rear sight OR do I need to get any kind of special, also higher, carry handle with rear...
Interesting thing happened me this weekend. I normally lightly grease my AR's with BATTLE BORN grease, at least for the last year or so. Put about 200 rounds down the pipe a month or two ago and did not clean. Went shooting to sight-in and test my new Aimpoint red dot. Every other bullet was a...
I get the be ready idea but my question is how many actually know how to cook a meal from scratch? What's going to happen when restaurants, grub-hub and microwaves don't work anymore?
And on a more advanced level, how many have Hunter/Gather skills or even grow a garden?
