marlin
A marlin is a fish from the family Istiophoridae, which includes about 10 species. It has an elongated body, a spear-like snout or bill, and a long, rigid dorsal fin which extends forward to form a crest. Its common name is thought to derive from its resemblance to a sailor's marlinspike. Even more so than their close relatives, the scombrids, marlins are fast swimmers, reaching speeds of about 80 km/h (50 mph).
The larger species include the Atlantic blue marlin, Makaira nigricans, which can reach 5 m (16.4 ft) in length and 818 kg (1,803 lb) in weight and the black marlin, Istiompax indica, which can reach in excess of 5 m (16.4 ft) in length and 670 kg (1,480 lb) in weight. They are popular sporting fish in tropical areas.
Up for sale is my Marlin 336 in .32 Winchester Special. Serial number puts her birth year as 1949. I've had her about 10 years, bought from a friend who needed the dough. I've put exactly 10 rounds through her since then, but clean and lube her semi-annually, needed or not. She's old, with...

[NRA 2019] Lever Action! Marlin Dark 336 & 1895 -
"Both guns feature a stealthy black parkerized finish, 16.25” barrels, big loop levers and muzzle threads"
I just bought one as I was looking for one for a while here and there. (Not particularly that particular model, but a lever 45-70.)
I just am wondering where to start ammo wise. It has been a while since I have shot much of the big rifles larger than .308 except for a bit of .50 beowulf and...
For sale is my immaculately clean Marlin 308MX with an older Nikon Buckmaster BDC scope. She's a safe queen. Had intentions a long time ago to hunt with it, but I wound up using a synthetic stock bolt action to beat up. Couldn't get myself to ruin the walnut furniture. Less than 20 rounds fired...
Sold
Really nice condition, pics don't do it justice. Shoots shorts, long and long rifle. Based on the stock style and being pre micro groove, should be late 40s or early 50s. Still has the original peep sight. Could use a good detail cleaning but functions great and is pretty darn accurate...
Just this on trade from another member this morning hoping it would scratch my pump/lever .22 itch and alas, not really. Very neat smooth rifle and the 50 rounds i put through it this morning seemed very accurate. Overall good shape, a couple little patches of surface rust but the wood and...
I have a old octagon barrel takedown lever action Marlin .22 s l lr.
When I got it, it worked. One time using it and the firing pin inside broke in half. I can't seem to find the breeching assembly and a new firing pin.
I've seen online that these go for $800-$1000.
Since its not working now...
I Really like this one, and i hate to sell it.
It is a Remlin. It Works great feeds like butter and I put 3 orange clay birds in the snow and walked 50 paces away. Punched the center out of the 1st 2 And broke the 3rd all to pieces. The 1st 2 were orange rings with center punched out. That...

My sister in law is recently getting into the world of firearms. She purchased a marlin model 60 from a pawn store. The problem is if left to its own mechanics it will slam the round to the right of the barrel, almost like a stove pipe but for a live round being fed. If I slow the action down...
I've only owned the Model 60s; and I'm partial to Marlins. I've passed the Model 60 down to my family.
I cannot offer a comparisson, but the Model 60 is a good rifle; very accurate to 80 yards or so, easy to clean, & spare parts are available.
The wood stock they offer isn't walnut as is NOT...
I’ll try this again, as the cash buyer backed out. Clean Marlin 357 made in 1979. If you want a 357 lever gun, this is the one. Metal is excellent, wood fits tight, no cracks or chips. $1000. Pretty picky on trades. Looking for a quality Garand, perhaps a Colt 1911 in 38 Super, or Browning 1886...
