gunsmith
A gunsmith is a person who repairs, modifies, designs, or builds guns. This occupation differs from an armorer. A gunsmith does factory level repairs, renovation (such as applying metal finishes), and makes modifications and alterations for special uses. Gunsmiths may also apply carvings, engravings and other decorative features to an otherwise finished gun. The environment in which all this takes place often varies depdending on the specific locality, with some gun stores featuring one or a handful of individuals while others resemble large scale specialty shops.
I was going to use Vesley but he told me he was out of town and hasnt gotten back in touch since. Not sure how long his vacation is but I really need to put my rifle together.
I need someone to either properly dimple my barrel for my gas block or drill and pin it.
I have a Winchester Model 100, .308 that I inherited from my dad, who bought it around 1964 when I was a kid. After I brought it home the first thing I did was do some checking on how to take it apart so I could clean it. Good thing I did before taking it out to shoot because I found that it had...

Hello NW Firearms,
I just bought a new set of Night Fision sights during black friday for my carry pistol. Unfortunately, I do not have the necessary tools to install them at home. Night Fision recommends that the sights be installed with a nylon punch and a hand file.
Can someone recommend a...

Can anyone recommend an Oregon gunsmith, closer to Eugene the better, that can ream cylinder throats and clean up/open up (?) forcing cones on a Ruger NM Blackhawk 45 Colt and a GP100 357?
Any suggestions on a good gunsmith in the greater PDX area that is good with CZ 75s? I'm looking for someone who knows what they are doing and takes care not to trash the pistol.
Hey guys,
Anyone know of a good Glock armorer in the Beaverton area capable or machining a slide for an RMR or Delta point pro?
Would really like to not have to mail my gun off.
Thanks!
Hi, I was doing some Google searches about guns and ammunition and came across this site from my local area, so I decided to join. :)
I'm also looking for recommendations for a gunsmith in the Hillsboro area. I recently had my dad's Smith & Wesson .38 Special Fourth Change revolver (from...

Recently picked up a 5" FNS, and while I like it a lot the trigger has a lot of room for improvement.
There is a place in NV that offers reducing the travel and lightening the trigger itself to about 4lbs for $200.
This seems a bit steep to me. Can any of you chime in?
And does anyone know...
I got new James River Armory M14. It has a Bula barrel, firing mechanism , and Bula trigger group. I cleaned it before taking to the range but it does not cycle correctly. So I took it home opened the piston out and looked at and put it back in. I made a mistake and failed to put the D shape...

This may sound odd, but we don't have a single bolt-action in the battery, being the rifles are semi-automatics and lever-actions. That said, I am starting to do some homework on this front for a variety of reasons.
Can anyone recommend a rifle that is:
Bolt-action.
Chambered in .223...
If anyone needs a circle 10 build done I am your guy. I'm a 74 specific builder and smith, and I like the Bulgarian builds the best. I use ALL of the AK builder jigs(no homemade rigs), a 12 ton press, requiem inline, and I have specific receivers, barrels and kits to recommend that are grade A...
