failure
Failure is the state or condition of not meeting a desirable or intended objective, and may be viewed as the opposite of success. The criteria for failure depends on context, and may be relative to a particular observer or belief system. One person might consider a failure what another person considers a success, particularly in cases of direct competition or a zero-sum game. Similarly, the degree of success or failure in a situation may be differently viewed by distinct observers or participants, such that a situation that one considers to be a failure, another might consider to be a success, a qualified success or a neutral situation.
It may also be difficult or impossible to ascertain whether a situation meets criteria for failure or success due to ambiguous or ill-defined definition of those criteria. Finding useful and effective criteria, or heuristics, to judge the success or failure of a situation may itself be a significant task.
This was a new one for me. Complete circumferential separation. This was a GECO (Gustaf Genshow, made in Germany) case. Recently, I had about 50 such cases (nickel plated), about half of them split longitudinally while being resized. This was fired with a magnum load, but not at top end...
So I have this LCP 2 that I got on a trade from this group a couple years back. I got around to shooting it but it will not chamber a single round. I’ve reached out to ruger but haven’t heard back yet. Is the customer service at ruger pretty decent ?
I just got a new Banish 45 suppressor and had to try it out yesterday . I mounted it on a HK USP 45 Tac with the proper piston/Neilson device and spring . The silencer/pistol combo worked great and cycled as it should . I did check every 5 rounds to make sure nothing came loose . I loaded a full...
My built 15 is having a trigger reset issue. Every time I cycle a round through the trigger won't reset unless I jiggle the safety switch. Seems to happen with all mags, brass and steel casings. Could this be a tolerance issue?
Ok I finally got out and shot m new M&P 2.0 optic ready 9mm over the weekend. As well as my original 2.0 9mm. As the title says the slide did not lock back on it twice. And on the other 2.0 I had one failure to feed. Any ideas what may have caused either of the issues on these two particular...
Who else is waiting for the power grid to have a cascade failure? This heat is stressing the grid, A/C use is likely the culprit. If the grid fails in the west and southwest it will be bad for all of us.
So this just happened, I don't know if it's posted somewhere but they both were using the same ammo and lot #. Zsr ammo
Just putting this out as a fyi.
If you have any , check your lot #

I'm passing this info along, so people are aware of how messed up USPS shipping is, and what a frustrating experience it can be if and when things go sideways.
I've shipped a number of items (many of them antique guns) via USPS in the past. Occasionally had small issues, but overall I was...
Was out at the peak pit shooting some of my guns and decided to put a couple mags through my “mailbox gun” which is a NAA Gaurdian in .32 acp.
When it broke the drawbar spring, rendering the entire firearm useless…and doing some research suggests it is a common problem on these guns
Its an...

For the purpose of this thread, I don't mean small parts breakage, something falling off, etc. But rather actually damage to a significant component of the firearm that necessitates a return to the factory, gunsmith work, or scrapping the destroyed piece altogether.
If so, care to share the...
