I went into the store to inquire about a Glock 19 Gen 5 for my first firearms purchase and the store part was closed but the range was still open and I talked to the clerk at the counter named Patrick and he gave me a whole history lesson on glocks and how they run. Super knowledgeable and professional guy!! I went home with a ton of new information and I definitely will come back soon to purchase. Overall 10/10 experience
Lot of selections on guns and the prices were okay
Cons
Accessories are a little bit pricey
I went there with my friend John and I got to say they did have a lot of selection unfortunately their accessories are a little bit overpriced but they did have a cool shooting range and they did have an MP5 from HK for $2,600 at the time which I should have got in hindsight but it's one of those should whoulda coulda oh well
Extremely busy and was not entirely organized when I went
I took a buddy who was interested in purchasing his first fire arm. They were very knowledgable and allowed him to handle the fire arms to get a feel for comfort as well as many of the firearms they had, they had as range guns as well, allowing him to fire many of them to get a better feel. I don't know if it was just because of COVID but they were extremely busy and it was not entirely organized getting through the different customers.
Before my second child was born I would commonly spend my Wednesday afternoons at Federal Way Discount Guns putting holes in paper. When family would come to visit, I would take them shooting. I had fun with my brother inching our targets back a little further, seeing if I could get a tighter grouping than my now retired Army and nearly legally blind father. I got some pointers on my breathing from my retired Army uncle. My favorite trip was taking my anti-gun mother-in-law and getting her from being fearful if pulling the trigger to finally watching her mag dump a target when I told her it was going to break into her house. I left grinning ear to ear.
Every visit a staff was always helpful in selecting a firearm for the guest I brought. I also appreciated their assistance in selecting what I will eventually be purchasing for my own firearm. If you get the chance and the ammunition is in stock I do recommend renting the Desert Eagle, its quite the experience.
Went way beyond normal purchase follow up to make things right on purchase of 1927 Thompson
Cons
Nine
I ordered and bought a new Auto-Ordnance Thompson 1927A-1 with both the stick mags and a drum mag, from Federal Way Discount Gun. Took it to their indoor range that day, gun was basically non functional with all 4 mags, sticks and drum. Using recommended ball ammo. Talked to the owner of Federal Way Discount, extremely polite and nice guy. He said just leave it with his on staff gunsmith, he would make it right. Even though it was a warranty issue with Khar Arms….I was warned that it would be a nightmare to deal with Khar Arms.
I had an extra 200 rounds of new ammo I had just bought, so, offered it to the gunsmith to use use it. Week later, get a call personally from the owner, saying it's all fixed, ready to go. Come to find out, the gunsmith spent over 10 hours custom fitting each of my mags to my gun. How much is 10 hours a custom gunsmithing worth?
Very very satisfied with the shop, the owner, the gunsmith. Good people.

Cons
Some staff in the gunshop have terrible customer service skills
Long wait times
I have been to this LGS plenty of times over the years and generally speaking the staff are friendly and professional. That being said there have been a couple visits including today where a staff has been truly rude and unprofessional. The wait times are so long that you need a ticket (reminds me of the dmv) but honestly I don't mind that, it goes to show you that they are a great shop overall.
Anyway there has been a couple of staff that have truly blown me away with how rude they can be, today while waiting for nearly 45 minutes before being helped I decided to talk with the guy next to me that was being serviced by a staff member, I only wanted to ask him "hey if you don't mind me asking, which AK rifle is that?" but the staff threw his index finger up at me and shouted "NO! JUST NO! THIS IS NOT A SWAP MEET!!" Uhh look I own my own convenience store and I understand that with today's issues shops are short staffed and employees can be wound tight but this is unacceptable.
So other than gambling every time you come here for a good staff member and the slightly longer wait times I would recommend this LGS if you are in the area and or need to special order a firearm that other shops don't/ can't get.
They let you shoot rifles and have open and tactical bays
Cons
Store staff are rude
They really do have a great selection here, decent prices. I didn't believe the reviews about the store staff and so I came in anyways only for them to be proven true.
First time I came here, was getting helped by the store staff and then the guy just walks away and disappears after showing me one gun. Also, they had mislabeled pistols, when asked they acknowledged that it was mislabeled but the price stayed the same??
Second time, an older gentleman was trying to put his firearms on consignment and I was asking about one of his pistols. He was saying he had no idea what his pistols were worth and I was just talking to him. The clerk obviously didn't want the older guy to get any ideas so he chased me away in order to make the sale or contract. This seems to me like a predatory practice.
Range staff however are extremely friendly and easy to talk to. Great guys there.
In the past some of the employees were kinda edgy, but that could be because of the area that they are in.
Way too busy at times and they will not contact you about your waiting period results unless you are denied, and they will expect you to wait the full waiting period even if you are approved early.
Update:
They will not call you when you get a "proceed" only if you get denied. When you buy a pistol, they give you a 'pick up" date which defaults to the full wait period time. If you get approved, they will not tell you and if you call to enquire, they will not look it up, they just ask you "What is your pickup date?' so basically if you get a "proceed" on the fourth day after you fill out you BGC you still have to wait the full ten days due to their policy. So, in essence it is not the feds or the state forcing you to wait it is the store and their policies of not notifying or wanting to look up the info.
So, keep this in mind if you want to buy something that requires a waiting period, I myself will not purchase a firearm there again unless it is my only option.
Pick up firearms when you’re supposed to..... no weird company policies.
Motorized target return track
Cons
Getting busier
There’s one bougie sale guy....
Short range
Love it here, everyone but one employee I can think of is great. Memberships are well worth it for range attendance and discounts at range. They keep the retail shop well stocked and have plenty of rental firearms. Think you can shoot anything but steel tips. They adhere to state and federal laws well, in regards to your rights in purchasing and picking up firearms. I do all my retail shopping here and will continue annual membership for sure.
