Had my pistol delivered here and it was a great experience! Worked with John. All the guys there were really friendly. Great place to do business! Fee for the transfer and the BCG was $25 bucks. I'll be using them again and recommending them to others. Highly recommend!!
I have been going in this shop for years, even back to the days before they moved to the current location. Always great help and some often interesting items for sale. Great for firearm transfers. I have always had good customer service experiences here.
Pros
  • Price
  • Friendly
  • Quick
  • Cool things to look at while getting the background check
Cons

I've purchased from and have had multiple firearms transferred through A Cut Above Pawn, they have always provided quality, friendly service at a good price. I've tried a couple other FFLs for transfer and I always return to A Cut Above Pawn. I will transfer everything through them as long as I can.
Pros
  • $25 for FFL Transfer (includes background check)
Cons
  • They won't respond if you E-mail them. Best method of contact is via Phone or go into the store.

Made an online purchase at sportsmansoutdoorsuperstore for a MP15-22 Sport 22LR Semi-Auto Rimfire Rifle with Kryptek Highlander Finish. Used A Cut Above Pawn for my FFL Dealer Transfer.
Super Cheap! Only $25 for the transfer and includes background check. Make sure you contact them via phone instead of E-Mail though.

Long Gun Fee: $25.00 INCLUDES Background
Hand Gun Fee: $25.00 INCLUDES Background

The store had a nice atmosphere.
John, Tom, Tyler, and Steve and the entire crew rock. Quick, friendly and they love nice guns too. Worth using even if you're east side.
Gave them a 5 rating for my experience in gun transfers. They are prompt in sending a copy of their FFL for mailing the gun and call promptly when receiving it. $25.00 for the transfer fee is quite reasonalble. They will do a two gun transfer for $40.00, I believe.

It's a Pawn Shop. So, besides the used guns......there are other things that you might be interested in. Yup.....I've bought used tools and I've done transfers there. Course, since I'm a WA resident......handguns would have to be done at a WA FFL.

Anyway, they've always been friendly and willing to show me stuff.

Aloha, Mark
Lots of nice stuff in this pawn shop, cheap FFL transfers also. This place is my go to anytime im buying and/or sell a firearm!
Pros

Cons

This is my go to place for buying and selling and ordering online. They are friendly and have never had any issues with them.
Best transfer fee I've found.
Pros
  • Best price transfer price in area at $15
  • Polite staff
  • They are set up to do transfers and are good at it
Cons
  • Not open late on weekends.
I utilize A Cut Above Pawn for firearm sale transfers. They are fairly easy to get to from most areas around Portland. They charge $15 for the transfer and the usual $10 for the background check. The staff is set up to take care of you quick and professionally. They know guns too, and will gladly hold a good conversion about some of the things they have seen come through the store.

Expect nothing but a positive experience at this place.
Pros
  • Great about calling quickly when the gun comes in. Friendly transfers. Good transfer price. No attitude or hassle.
Cons
  • When they moved from their old location (less than a block from my office)
Would highly recommend for transfers on the westside
Pros
  • Great staff, friendly and they remember your name. Their fees are fair for transfers. They usually have a decent assortment of firearms and aren't crazy with their prices, If you need to pawn something they are fair, and they won't screw you over.
Cons
  • Small shop, parking lot can be a pain.
I really like this place.
Pros
  • Quick professional staff and decent hours. Fee was decent: $15 per transfer + $10 OSP check. So $55 for three transfers.
Cons
  • No discount for additional transfers done at the same time. Prices for used guns in store are high.
Convenient location when traveling west on TV highway, good hours and decent transfer cost. May seek another dealer to save money on multiple transfers.
Pros
  • Friendly, attentive staff. Best place to pawn and great just to shop. Transfers a breeze. Good Donuts next door.
Cons
  • None
I have used them for pawning guns for a year now and they'll give me the best loan on my items. Purchasing a gun there is just as easy. I stop in every month just to see if they have anything I may be looking for. Sonya is tops. They know their stuff and will work a deal.
Pros
  • Called quickly after delivery Friendly People EZ Transaction Nice Place Good Price
Cons
  • None
They called me within 30-45 minutes of the firearm being delivered to the store. The staff was very friendly and eager to help. Very reasonable fee.
