Join the #1 community for gun owners of the Northwest
We believe the 2nd Amendment is best defended through grass-roots organization, education, and advocacy centered around individual gun owners. It is our mission to encourage, organize, and support these efforts throughout Oregon, Washington, Idaho, Montana, and Wyoming.
Good place if your lucky and alone. But if it's packed it's not fun. Too many people like to cross fire. Hard to get the others to stop to set targets.
Some folks aren't always exercising safe practices and it can get crowded.
Not horrible if it's not too crowded. The log line was recently moved forward and this provides a much better/safer firing line. I don't typically take my kids here, but I do go shooting here occasionally.
Good place to harvest brass and or lead.
There are many occasions where the gate is still locked well after opening time
Overall, not a bad spot. I've gone many times, and it's hit or miss whether or not you will be shooting next to some local hicks. I've had to talk to people on more than one occasion about unsafe practices, which I never enjoy doing. Also, I've gone to shoot and found that the gate is closed well past the posted opening time. There is a sign that says if the gate is closed you can't shoot. I've never been one to follow every sign posted, but YMMV. A call to the number posted will usually get a deputy out to unlock the gate if they are unoccupied.
