Pros
  • Helpfull staff, at least for me
Cons
  • things get busy real fast there.
Well gentlemen, maybe I just lucked out...but I've been to this location about 4 times so far and had a decent to good experiences each time. The best ones were when I was helped by an older fellow behind the counter, I think his name was Dan. I had ordered a gun online through their website and during the wait period the price had dropped by like $280. He got me a gift card for that amount. The only real negative has been wait times, which can get long when they are busy, but I usually try and go right when they open in the morning and it's not too bad. Hope Dan still works there.

Pros
  • Lots of camping stuff
Cons
  • Prices always at the top end. Service was so bad I walked out.
The service was almost non existent. Stood in line in the firearms area for almost an hour while they took care of possibly 3 people. I was about 6 people back and finally walked out. One guy stood behind the counter at the far end and never moved an inch in all that time. I have no idea what his duties were but he was useless. Several people chatting and walking back and forth into the store room doing God knows what. Only one person taking care of customers.

Pros
  • Decent selection of non-gun stuff (camping, outdoor clothing, etc.)
Cons
  • PRICES TOO HIGH; Service hard to come by; Limited ammo/reloading supplies
During the two years of the pandemic (so far) every time I go to Sportsman's Warehouse I feel disappointed. Brass? No. Ammo? Limited. Powders? No. Primers? No. And it's not like I've experienced that disappointment everywhere. During the same time period I've found some or all of those same items at Fisherman's (Delta Park, OR), Cabela's (Tualatin, OR), Gator's (Kelso, WA), Oregon Trail (La Grande, OR), not to mention the superior selection that seems to exist in Idaho generally. And to top it off, on the seemingly rare occasion when I want to buy something at Sportsman's Warehouse their prices are invariably higher than elsewhere, even compared to a local gun store such as Gator's in Kelso (as I found out on Friday, 04MAR2022). Isn't the point of a big-box retailer supposed to be better selection and lower prices? So what the heck is going on with Sportsman's? And good luck finding someone to help you...

Yeah, I'm really soured on Sportsman's Warehouse and my disappointing experiences compared to other gun stores during the pandemic. Just don't see the point in wasting my time there anymore. Giving them two stars in this review was extremely generous on my part.
