I have been to the store multiple times. Their selection always seems to be good and common items in stock.
The service is hit and miss at best. First couple times there was someone to assist me with my purchase. Last few times I had to get someone's attention. Last couple times I had to get someone's attention I could hear their conversation behind the counter and they were just BSing about their days off and other random stuff. They didn't want to help me until they finished the conversation and was very annoyed when they did come to the counter to ring up my purchase.
So hit or miss service and higher than normal prices. I only go to ORW if I need a part and don't want to wait on shipping from someone else.
I wish it was bigger but it is still a good size shop.
I've purchased multiple firearms here. Their selection, prices and service is second to none. I really like their selection of new firearms but they also have a used rack and I have purchased multiple firearms from their used selection and they have all been excellent. I highly recommend this place!
Generous selection of parts for AR pattern rifles.
Law enforcement distributor for Glock.
Usually always has ammo in stock.
Cons
Can be hard to get an employee to assist you.
Prices seem slightly higher than other shops in the area, but not to the point of excessiveness.
They used to stock lots of products from North American Rescue but in recent years that has been replaced by stuff from MyMedic which is subpar compared to NAR.
This isn't the type of shop where you're going to find shotguns with 28" barrels for bird hunting or .270 bolt action rifles for deer season. This is the shop you go to if you need quality gear to be a modern day gunfighter - an AR pattern rifle with extra magazines, assault pack, medical supplies, etc. I've been coming to this shop since 2017 and have always enjoyed taking the time to visit. I do feel like their customer service has degraded a little from back in the day but it is still better than most shops in the area. The staff are up to date on current trends in the industry and won't shy away from letting you know if your information is outdated. They have a lot of women on staff which is good if you're introducing your wife or girlfriend to firearms.
If your use case for firearms is carrying for self defense, carrying for work (e.g. security, law enforcement), or preparing yourself to be a 'modern day minuteman' - this is the shop for you. You will be welcomed with open arms its your first time ever buying a gun, or your 1000th time buying a gun.
A lot of stuff here for everyone. Staff is very experienced, knowledgeable, and trustworthy.
I have spent a lot of time at this store over the years. Got to know some of the staff really well. I have bought a lot of ammo, guns, mags, optics, and furniture here. They fixed my handgun for me when I didn't know what was wrong. Installed tall suppressor sights another time because I didn't have the tall sight tool. Special ordered a hard to get popular gun for me 1 time. Helped me build some red dot handguns. They are knowledgeable and have given me tons of good advice also helping me avoid purchases I would later regret. My friends also have had good experiences here over the many years. They have a great reputation. This is the go to place in the NW.
Greatest selection of firearms and PARTS in the entire Portland area. Can go in a build a rifle from scratch, with real quality parts. Friendly staff, fair prices.
I've been going to the store for many years. They're the largest rifle store in Oregon. They have so many selections and the staff members are awesome!!
Have been a customer at ORW for a while now. The staff there are helpful, and the selection is pretty damn good. I have one of their ORW-15's and I can say that they are definitely worth the money. I've made several firearms purchases there and every one of them were pretty quick and easy with their system. I also have purchased a suppressor there and they made the process pretty smooth despite the ATF and their subpar E-form website. That and they have some pretty fun events like Sheephitters that are worth checking out.
went to Oregon rilfeworks yesterday to get a QD mount for my sling. spoke to a worker about different sling set ups since I'm new to firearms, he was very helpful in this regard showing me different set ups on firearms.
Best option in the Portland area for all things AR

Oregon Rifleworks is (in my humble opinion) the best shop in the Portland metro for all things to do with AR pattern rifles. They have a sizeable selection of handguns but it seems ARs are their bread and butter, maybe thats why its called Oregon Rifleworks but who knows. Magazine selection is good if you're looking for common platforms. Ammo seems reasonably priced. I do feel their customer service has been gradually going downhill over the years, but some of the OG staff like Tony, Josh, and Emma are still 10/10.
Wow, this place is really great! I'm spoiled to have them as my local shop. Fantastic selection and very knowledgeable and friendly staff. 10/10 I wont go anywhere else!
Every time I look for quality firearms I go to Oregon rifleworks. A lot of gun stores I've visited don't carry brands like staccato, or nighthawk. I've bought 2 staccatos and a nighthawk from them. Super helpful staff and quality!
