Every time I look for quality firearms I go to Oregon rifleworks. A lot of gun stores I've visited don't carry brands like staccato, or nighthawk. I've bought 2 staccatos and a nighthawk from them. Super helpful staff and quality!
I went in looking for a new AR & 9MM and was met with some very friendly associates at the store. No problem working with me for over an hour, making recommendations and letting me handle whatever I wanted. Great overall experience, with packages lining store waiting to be picked up due to Measure 114 (they are allowing 3 day release) the selection was a little more limited than it generally is but they still have a good amount of items in stock. The only big con is they can be slightly more pricey than some other shops in the area, but not by much. I still confidently made both my purchases that day.
I recommend them to friends and plan on doing more business with them in the future!
I keep having to remind myself of the great selection of small parts ORW stocks every time I start looking online for something obscure. Love keeping my business local, love that these guys make it easy. Thanks for working overtime in these insane days, your love for the 2a community is appreciated!
I have been there many times through my few AR builds. If I needed an extra a spring or pin, they always had what I needed and took the time to help. They also helped solve a few issues I had with no charge.
Best selection of AR-15 parts in the Beaverton/Tigard area!
Been a lifelong customer here ever since they opened up shop in Tigard, I bought my first pistol here too! They always have the best and current AR-15 parts with the best selections in magazines and shooting supplies. Friendly staff and knowledgeable staff! I'll be shopping here till they close their doors or I move out of state or out of the area. Even if they are still around, I'll still shop here when I'm visiting family in the area! Also love the them they have, better than most Gunshops with white walls and dull-looking displays.
I visited this place after an interview. I just happened upon it and took a look inside and its selection was great. You seldom see tactical vests and rigs for sale in person as well as a great multitude of accessories and weapons for sale.
An above average store and I'd recommend stopping by
Nice store with a knowledgeable staff. Nice to see a store that's not a junk retailer. Quality over quantity. Would have been nice to see some reloading components.
Been in a few times recently. I've found only friendly and knowledgeable staff, and most importantly, everything I was looking for! These folks really know what they're doing. Personal service by people who obviously enjoy what they do. A little out of the way for me, but worth the trip every time.
Stopped by to have a firearm appraised. Staff was helpful and friendly. The store carries a lot of the Glock and AR accessories that I was already looking at online.
While I waited for my appraisal one of the employees spent a lot of time explaining basic information about suppressors. He also gave me a couple of leads on selling firearms to private parties, including this forum!
I appreciate that this store and its employees are in my community.
Knowledge level, time taken with customers when you finally get assistance, polite and professional
Cons
Mishandling of logistics
I am editing my review to reflect failures on an NFA item purchase made through Oregon Rifleworks.
I wanted a suppressor but they weren't carrying what I wanted (Odessa 9). No problem, I pay up front and order it. Can comes in and I get a call where they leave a voicemail saying to make an appointment to complete NFA paperwork. I call back to make my appointment but the only member of the team that handles NFA items is on lunch.
I am told that if they have the can i can come down anytime and they can accommodate me for the paperwork filing. I specifically make a point that I was requested via email to make an appointment. I am told to call back in 30 minutes to talk with the employee that typically handles NFA transactions. I called back 3 times separated 30 minutes apart over the course of 90 minutes and was redirected to voicemail each time, leaving a voicemail requesting a callback; no callback is made within 24 hours.
I drive down as instructed by the employee in the aforementioned phone conversation, only to learn that apparently the ATF website is down and has been so for days. Great, now I get to coordinate in some nondescript time later an appointment to drive 40 minutes total time back down here to do the paperwork that hasn't been initiated.
Oh and the can I ordered is now in the display case at the store, so i guess they do get shipments and I did NOT in fact have to pay up front to have it special ordered? Or the can in the case is MY can out of box on display? Either way, not having great luck so far with Oregon Rifleworks.
Just pickup the phone or check your messages
P.S. update: The cans crown shattered after 20 rounds, a known problem with gen 1 Odessa cans and has been with Dead Air since May. It's November as of writing this review. The whole purchase was cursed.
There's no magic button installed to move you up on the firearms purchasing wait list.
Love these guys. I've purchased a few firearms from them. They're always friendly, helpful and fast. Great inventory and I've listened to help help other new buyers, etc with great service.
