I drop off an M1A rifle to this shop over a year and a half ago for a rebarrel. I keep checking up (maybe, every other month) on the status. and it was always the fault of COVID, delaying the work, delaying the special tools he needed to purchase. I was very patient, and now it appears too patient. My out about $2600. Not sure if there is anything I can do here.... .

We did not steal your rifle, please remove this post and the corresponding thread. We have not heard from you since we closed and moved. This is a huge misunderstanding and your rifle is in Portland with a gunsmith. PMs sent

Pros
  • They Moved out of State
I had a rifle their for repair long after the completed promised time. Tried
to contact them by E-mail no response. Then I noticed on there web page
they are moving out of state. They do not answer the phone. I went down to
the shop determined to get my rifle back before they move in one week!
Door locked some one in the shop finally opened the door after I knocked on it for awhile. Said nothing they can do since the owner is out of state. They were leaving town in a week and I was leaving in a couple days. I would not take no for an answer and demanded my rifle back. Made a phone call and finally dug up the rifle and returned it. to me. Leaving town in a week and no communication with a customer you are holding there rifle? New business in Montana?

Yes I remember you from last year and I like how you waited 9 months to leave a review. I remember how your response to being slightly inconvenienced because your rifle wasn't done yet was to threaten my wife while I was out of town then when I called you out on it your feeble attempts to justify threatening her. I'm sure your family would be super proud of you knowing you threaten women when you don't get your way. I'm glad you left this review Ron, this way other members can see your true colors and avoid you like the plague. Have a nice day and I will pass along your info to the only other decent gunsmith in town so he doesn't have to deal with you either.

  • Shouldn’t be offering Cerakote and bluing
Had to bring my rifles elsewhere to be redone after almost 2 years in his shop. Cerakoted parts that shouldn't of been and had dust nibs and poor coverage in spots. Had my rifles for almost 2 years. What a nightmare. Handed me my 30-30 in a box disassembled with a big grin on his face then jumped in my face when I called him out on it. The rifle was a family heirloom given to me as a kid by my deceased grandfather. What a nightmare.

This review is mostly one big lie! You have zero credibility. You were in my shop leaning over my counter screaming in my face cussing me out calling me an "F-ing POS" and a "fat man" like a juvenile and you wanted to "take this outside" and tried to fight me threatening me with physical violence. All in front of my customers and your son. The multiple cameras caught everything and the witnesses confirmed it. You are mentally unstable and had you not already taken posession of your firearms before you absolutly lost your mind, I would have refused the transfer under 1639 and transferred your guns to the police. You should not own a firearm. The police who watched the video after you left disagree with your "jumping at you" statement. Everyone else who has watched the video laughs and cannot believe that you, a grown man, acted the way you did. Have a nice day :)

Your a joke Jon. You jumped in my face and I didn't back down and this is your only excuse for doing terrible work on my rifles. Thanks buddy, they are in good hands now and I will have to pay twice for them to get repaired from the poor work you did on them.

Does it take almost 2 years to try and Cerakote a 30-30? Zero return calls, zero updates. Is a freshly blued 300 savage supposed to have surface rust starting to show up on it fresh outta your shop? Damn right I was livid when you brought out a box of parts with a grin on your face and jump in my face when I call you out on it, who wouldn't be?
