Little Bear Gun Shop

This is basically a one man shop operating out of a home in Hillsboro. Richard Wilson is the owner and his son helps him from time to time as far as I know. He's good people, with warm friendly service.

I want to give him a +1, but I ordered a rifle and mags from him a while back.. He came through with me on the order, but didn't get me my PRS stock. He told me it was ordered and would arrive shortly. I tried calling him back several times and left several emails to him and he refused to even respond back to me. I am going to give him a -1 for that. I was thinking he may have went out of business or died or something. But, I see he is still in business, which irritates me since he promised me he ordered an item and I didn't buy another PRS stock for a while, waiting for him to come through, which he didn't.. He got me a great deal on my AR-10 I ordered, but bailing on a customer, especially when he promised that he ordered you an item and you are waiting and he never responds back to you, is just so d*mn irritating!

As much as it pains me I would advise people not to deal with him.. Maybe, if I call him up and he gives me an explanation why he flaked on me on my previous order, I can remove this review.

I'll never use this guy ever again.

I had a "small" order....$50+. His website said everthing was "in stock", so I placed my order. My credit card was charged but no response from his website and no merchandise. After a week went by I emailed asking for a status on my stuff. Was advised that things are taking longer then usual...yea I know but I at least wanted an ETA on when things would be showing up... After another week I pinged him again...Oh my stuff just showed up, so I went over to pick it up at his home.

When I got to his place only part of my order was there. When I asked where the rest of my order/stuff was, his response was "I don't recall another....this is all that came in". He didn't have an invoice or order to validate my order NOTHING. So I went home to make sure my order form showed the correct qty's....I was correct I was missing part of my order.

I sent a copy of my order asking for him to please look into this and advise. After another week went by and NO response I sent another email asking for my money back. The refund was the only prompt thing in this entire transaction.

I won't go back and I'd NEVER recommend him to any friends!!

I would never trust his website when things say they are in stock. It is only "my opinion" but it appears he doesn't have the necessary funds to run his business...being why he charges yoru credit card "in advance"...then you wait weeks with no word and no merchandise.

Richard has always taken care of me and gone out of his way to get me the best deals. My father and I and a friend of mine have bought a few firearms from him (about 7 between the 3 of us) and have never had a complaint.

If your military, make sure and let him know that too.

Bought a rifle from Richard a few years ago. It was a positive experience, he seemed very customer-oriented.
