Price on new firearm exceeded MSRP
Aaron was very patient with me while I was shopping (i.e., looking at a variety of firearms before making a purchase). I went home did a little research and returned for the buying. We discussed the price and agreed on something that we both could live with. The transaction was smooth and easy. Kudos. He and Dave also researched availability of a second item for me. I decided to pass on it because I didn't want a pistol with a multi-slotted (picatinny) rail under the barrel.
My folks live just east of Costco in Bend, 50 acres. My wife, who had never wanted to touch, let alone shoot a gun.....Mentioned to me she wanted to try shooting one. So on this trip to visit my folks, we brought along the Mark IV. I made a trip into town to visit Hammer Down Firearms. As I pulled into the parking lot the building looks like an old rustic saloon. Half a dozen trucks or so parked outside, just enough room for me to pull mine in and find a spot to park. Inside was a wide variety of firearms. Nice open feeling, not crowded, plenty of room to walk around. I was greeted quickly. Discussed my needs for some .22LR ammo for the Ruger. I was presented with some options/suggestions. Promptly selected the CCI Mini-Mags. Very good experience and would recommend.

Was spending a couple of days in Bend. Always on lookout for something, in this case, a Gen 3 Glock 19. Found one at Hammer Down Firearms in Bend at a great price. Cal, Scott and everyone in the shop was super-helpful, polite, professional and great to work with. They have a great inventory which is growing fast as they have merged with another firearms dealer. Prices on used firearms are excellent - as attested by the fact that I bought a pistol model that I had been monitoring prices on for a couple of months. Best price on G-19.3 I had seen. If you're traveling through Bend, you should definitely check out their store.
