Sort of a jaunt to get out there, but pretty drive
I had the privilege to go into the H&K gun shop in Forest Grove.
Met the owner, who has probably forgotten more about building accurate and beautiful rifles, than most would know.
He has many rifles he's customized with gorgeous Monte Carlo type wood stocks, like the old high gloss Weatherby blond or dark Walnut type stocks. Beautiful checkering and cheek pieces. He's a wealth of information and has many decades of experience.
If you're looking for a rifle that is like fine furniture, or a fine instrument, this would be your place. Or, it's my understanding you can take a rifle there that might be a little tired, or needs a tune-up and refresh, and he can help you out. Call first.
Kurt at H&K fix my model 70 rifle, the firing pin spring was 3/8 inch too short. Good price and turnaround time. He seems to know what he is talking about I will gladly give him more business!
