This is a great little store in a good location. In the olden times Neil would curate a great collection of arms for the small space the shop has. It has been much more sparse in recent years, so if you like to brows you may need to try elsewhere (tell me if you find such a place, everywhere around here seems pretty bare bones nowadays), but Neil is willing to try and find what you want and order it in if he can. I have spent some amount of time with him browsing online looking to find what I am looking for. He is also more than wiling to call you when normal shipments come in so you come by and pick up what you need. A very friendly, knowledgeable and helpful store.
Great guy to work with, fairly priced and gets it done
I have dealt with Neal at Gun Pro on at least 8 transactions over the past 3 years and have never regretted any of them. He is one of the few FFL's still willing to do private party transfers but that could change at any time. Always call before promising anything or making the drive. These are challenging times for all small businesses.
I've bought several firearms from Neal at Gun Pro and found him to be extremely knowledgeable, helpful and friendly! He's a good guy to deal with and so is his family who helps out at the gun shop!
I've done a couple transfers here. Always friendly and speedy service for a reasonable price. Happy to share his knowledge and advice with new gun owners.
It would be unfair for me to rate their selection at this time, due to the current shortages everywhere.
Very comfortable place to shop. Handled my private party transfer with flying colors. I've seen the owner multiple times attending Friends of NRA banquets supporting the community. Highly recommend.
I went in the place several weeks ago while visiting my kid at school. I ended up buying a new set of electronic ear muffs as my old ones were crapping out. The owners were great- super friendly, engaging, and just overall nice folks.
They of course were out of a lot of stuff due to panic buying, but I still really enjoyed my visit!
Neil has been nothing but professional, helpful and fair since I was a brand new shooter. He and his staff treat everyone with respect and you genuinely get the feeling they're glad to have your business. I've had so many great experiences here, it's always my first stop when I'm in the market and you never know what cool guns you'll find. Can not recommend highly enough!
I really liked talking with everyone in the shop. They're all friendly, knowledgeable and willing to pass on their wisdom. I did purchase a firearm there and the only downside was the price was a little too high. I definitely could have gotten it cheaper (I didn't try to talk them down in price) but I was happy to buy semi-local. I really liked my experience and will be going there again when I'm down in that area.
The staff is friendly, professional and knowledgeable. There is a somewhat limited selection but it seems to be growing. The ammo prices seem reasonable. They did not have the rifle I wanted but were able to get it in a few days. I have enjoyed doing business with them.
Good service and a small town shop feel. Owner is happy to talk shop and help however he can.
Cons
He once referred me to the absolute worst gunsmith I've ever had the displeasure of dealing with, named George Gouger (fitting last name). HORRIBLE attitude problem, extremely high prices, slow turnaround time.
Not the best prices or selection, but a nice place to shop. One of my regular shops.
The owner is knowledgeable, friendly, and professional. He seems quite honest and his prices are fair. The store is clean and well laid out.
Cons
Not the biggest shop or inventory, but definitely growing since he opened.
I really like this little gun shop, and Neil seems like a great guy. I've been going in there since he opened, and it just feels more like an old-fashioned gun shop should.
