Join the #1 community for gun owners of the Northwest
We believe the 2nd Amendment is best defended through grass-roots organization, education, and advocacy centered around individual gun owners. It is our mission to encourage, organize, and support these efforts throughout Oregon, Washington, Idaho, Montana, and Wyoming.
Any time I need to quickly run in for a part for an AR build Curt's is my go to. They have always had what I needed and priced fairly enough considering no shipping/waiting involved.
Recommended by another gun shop to handle form 4 transfers and have performed several over the years without issues. Most online dealers also have their FFL on file already for simple transfers from online purchases.
This is the only "local resource" I have used that I can leave a review for. I bought a gun online and Curt's was kind enough to facilitate the transfer. The whole thing went very smooth and their charge was standard even though it was the height of the pandemic and gun sales were going crazy.
Knowledgeable and friendly. Although, I felt one of their gun smiths was rude and condescending, so I haven't returned. The sales staff was great. Decent prices. Maybe I will try them again. It has been a while.
Store hours and lack of ammo, reloading components and firearm selection
We'll, they aren't the best, as someone else stated. They cater to the black rifle club and do a good job at that. Their staff is pretty knowledgeable. However, they don't have a wide selection of firearms. Half the time I stop there, they are closed. I've ended up going to northwest armory and finding what I needed on those days. I did have one bad experience when I had them order a lower for me. They forgot to order it. I called to ask them if it was in the shop yet and they said they had record of the purchase order, but totally spaced actually ordering it. At least they were honest and accepted responsibility on that one.
I don't believe I have ever had a bad experience at Curt's. If you are looking for anything black guns related they usually have it. The staff seems quite knowledgeable and more than happy to help with any questions. They seem to be committed to carrying only quality parts and accessories (no air soft junk). Selection and prices are not internet low but once you factor in shipping and transfer fees they are very competitive.
There are only two reasons I couldn't give them a 5 star,
1: I'm a working man and getting there before 5pm is not easy for me, I own a retail establishment myself and staying open thill 6pm is best for my customers who have to work. If your customers are rushing to get to you they'll find the other store that's open later.
2: The ammo inventory is not the best, could definitely do with more stock and selection.
These are by no means deal breakers, I will continue to shop at Curt's first when looking for anyhting gun related.
Old post, but most fitting. Just bought an AR from Curt's' booth at the Rickreall gun show. Folding iron sights, one of the red dots they brought. 3 P-Mags and a case. Both guys were pretty nice, and let me walk away three times without being pushy. Answered my questions best they could.
Thanks, guys!
