Tim at Copeland’s does incredible work. Tim did a caliber conversion on a Springfield Ronin (1911) 9mm, fitting a .38 super barrel and magazines. His attention to detail and quality of work is impeccable. The barrel fitting is perfect, lockup is tight as a vault. I couldn’t be happier with the end results. Tim function tested with .38 super components installed and again with the original 9mm components as well as all the magazines I provided and achieved perfection.
Not only was the work on the Ronin perfect, he tuned all the magazines to run flawlessly. And he even cleaned and oiled the firearm before returning it. Tim is a class act that I cannot recommend highly enough and is indeed my go to gunsmith.
Oh, and Tim doesn’t price gouge for his services. Great work, great guy and reasonable prices, what more could you ask for.
Tim was recommended by a friend. My wife had inherited a 257 Weatherby and another smith had botched a muzzle brake install. Tim was able to successfully clean up the mess and the finished product was complementary to the rifle itself. Since then he has installed muzzle brakes on two other rifles for me. Tim also does antique rifle restorations.
Had Tim mount a vintage scope to my vintage rifle. He got it back to me on time and looking fantastic. He ended up making some parts because the stock parts that came with the scope were flimsy. Reasonable pricing.
This is the second rifle barrel that Copeland Custom Gunworks has done for me and both have been amazing. Work is flawless and the rifles shoot great. Both barrels, 308 and 22lr shoot sub MOA and threading is perfectly concentric for mounting suppressors. I really cannot recommend Tim enough.
I actually found out about Tim through Northwest Firearms and have used him several times as well as another patron of this site. I was surprised to find out how well Tim is priced along with his expertise and skill. If you need work done, send it to Tim.
Tim is a fantastic gunsmith and a great guy. I have no need to go anywhere else for gunsmith work, and frankly I don’t want to go anywhere else. He’s helped me out numerous times, is very skilled, and is very easy to work with.
Tim built a 300 win mag off a remington 700 action for me. I let him know what I was looking for and he delivered a gun that checked all the boxes. The gun shoots great and with a little load development this was the result. 3 shot group at 100 yards off bags. Thanks Tim.
My front sight was canted 1/8" off center from the factory and Tim fixed it up and did a great job in a timely manner. Looking forward to doing more buisness and i will be sending people his way if they need a gunsmith!
I had a small barrel threading project done at Tim's and could not be happier with the service I received! Tim is very knowledgable and friendly, and didn't mind my brother and I hanging around for 30 mins and asking questions while he was working. I would definitely recommend his services to anyone looking for quality smith work.
