Pros
  • Good hours
  • Good selection of primers/powders
  • Always a spot available even on busy days
  • Friendly people
  • Lots of classes available
Cons
  • Prices for items can be high (but for good cause)
  • No more FFL transfers
I've been going here for several years. I bring some friends here that belong to other ranges in the Willamette Valley and they like ARPC way better and wished it was closer to them. Never have had any issues here. People are friendly. Lots of room to spread out and practice. I wish I could go more than I currently do.
Great place to sight-in or plink.

Pros
  • Plenty of lanes outside and inside
  • Rules are common sense and not too strict
My friend in Albany has a membership here, he took me there once and I zeroed two of my rifles pretty. They have a shop with a decent but small selection of shooting supplies, and they have loaner spotting scopes as well. They have times where full auto is allowed as well. Would go more if I lived closer.
Good club with variety of amenities and rarely bus

Pros
  • Great shooting range for members
I was a member here for a few years when I lived up near Salem.

I went once a month or so and the place was rarely busy and had about every discipline you could ask for out to 300 yards of rifle range shooting. No fancy sporting clays, but a few trap ranges and a patterning board.

Safety was enforced, but nobody was mean or uptight like at ranges closer to town.

Price and training requirements were in line or lower than other ranges in the region.

Pros
  • Privet range bays
  • 200 yard range
  • Minimal excessive rules
  • Shoot on the move
  • 180 rule
This is a great range. I have been going weekly for just about 4 years now and it's just a good experience. They are always adding more bays and keeping the old ones in good shape. They treat you like an adult and allow you to shoot how you enjoy shooting. You can draw from a holster, shoot in a 180 degree area (in most spots) and actually train there. In a world where most ranges are all about standing still and shooting no more than 1 shot per 2 seconds this range stands out as an amazing training range.

Pros
  • Usually not crowded
  • Usually no one standing over your shoulder
Cons
  • indoor range is only for 22lr pistols
One of the reasons I would not move back to Hawaii is, ranges like this and, (up till 114) less gun regulation. On Oahu there are two indoor ranges and one state run outdoor range, that's all.
Believe its good

Not first hand knowledge, but wife went there with her agency and said it was pretty great. Compared it to our previous outdoor range in another state that was perfect for us, so I assume this one is awesome.
One of the best outdoor facilities in Oregon.

Pros
  • Everything from the facility to the people
  • Best training I have ever received
Cons
  • Need one closer to PDX
High praises for this place. I train biweekly here with a combat veteran and amazing fellow; one-on-one tactical pistol, concealment, and AR. Couldn't be happier from the valuable knowledge I have received here, and the experience every time I go. It's a huge place with spacious bays that are partially covered for inclement weather. Well maintained with the standard amenities. To some in the PDX area, it may be a bit of a drive @ ~1hr. I don't mind it personally, and will continue membership here as long as ARPC is around. If you haven't been here make sure you check it out.

I joined the Albany rifle club last year and love this place. They have multiple ranges and are in the process of building more to do any kind of shooting you want there.

Great club. I've been going here since the mid-1990s and it's only got better with time. I hope they can extend a longer rifle range someday (1,000 yards would be awesome), but I don't think that'll happen anytime soon. Still, a great club.
