I got my Colt back from Wilson!

It would seem that 9 months is the time that all men must wait for great things... I sent my Colt 1991 to Wilson to modify her to my liking. I could have gone with a base CQB, but I wanted the Colt on the side, and as you can see, she's still stands proud!

Here's a rundown:
New bullet proof thumb safety
New bullet proof grip safety
New bullet proof commander hammer
New bullet proof slide stop lever
New battle sight rear
New gold dot sight front
New barrel bushing
New main spring housing
New sear
New trigger
Tighten slide to frame
Trigger set to 4#
Removed Series 80 FPS
Engraved "Wilson Combat" on dust cover
Flared ejection port
Refinished black over gray

I could probably have bought a Wilson CQB for that price, but it doesn't say "Colt" on the side

Nicely done, looks like a great all around tune up, and I like that you kept it clean and traditional. In my opinion every GI style 1911 pistol deserves an improved beavertail grip safety, hammer, trigger, and high visibility sights. The fact that it's a colt is just icing on the cake!

The only time I've seen Wilson Combat is on some of my 1911 mags.

so you can send your form 4 papers into the ATF and your pistol into Wilson Combat and get them back at about the same time


Honestly though.. that colt gives me wood. Conga ratz on that fine pistol.
