The Washington Arms Collectors (WAC) will be having their March show at the King County Fairgrounds in Enumclaw on the 25th and 26th.

Free to attend for WAC members! Non-members have a $15 gate fee, first responders have a $5 gate fee, children 16 and under are free. Gate fees are subtracted from yearly membership if you join at the show.

So, to be clear -

WAC is going up against the Centralia show, the same weekend?

I'm a WAC member, but I am questioning the wisdom of attacking/competing against a long-standing show of the state at the same time. Is the state just that hot for gun shows they are all making so much money now, after I-1639? I don't get this.

No real leadership in WAC. They probably didn't even check on the other venue. You can't help but wonder why these shows fail? I belonged to WAC for years, now not so much. The rules are just plain stupid. The last Monroe show a one day show where the gates did not open until 11:00 am and they wanted you to stay until 7:00 pm on a Saturday. Most people attend shows in mornings so they can do stuff in the afternoon. I would drive clear to Centralia before going to Enumclaw. Besides I hear there a quite the good deals at the Enumclaw show.

The weekends picked are not always up to the WAC. They have to work with what weekends are available at the different venues.

The Puyallup Fairgrounds is extremely expensive and books up a year or two in advance. They come to the WAC last with whatever weekends aren't filled and that's pretty much what they get to choose from.

The City of Enumclaw and the mayor as well have been extremely excited to work with the WAC and have been actively recruiting them to have a show at the King County Fairgrounds.

The WAC is looking for directors! If you want to help change the organization, please run for a position and help shape it moving forward!
